  • Concession(譲歩):It is reasonable to worry that …
  • Response(回答):But …
  • Qualified conclusion(条件付き結論):only if、provided that、may などを必要に応じて使い、根拠以上に強く断定しない。

Some people disagree, but they are wrong. Some families may have limited internet access. To address this concern, the school could provide printed notices as well.

1:Some schools may not have enough staff to supervise students safely after regular hours.

2:It is reasonable to worry about staffing costs and student safety.

3:A supervised one-evening trial, with a clear budget and safe departure plan, could test whether extra hours are practical.

4:The school should expand the hours only if the trial shows sufficient use and manageable costs.

5:Schools should consider opening their libraries later once a week because some students need a quiet place to study. However, longer hours may increase staffing costs and create safety concerns. These objections are reasonable, especially if students have difficulty travelling home late. Instead of extending the timetable immediately, a school could run a supervised trial on one evening, establish a clear budget and arrange safe departure procedures. It could then examine how many students actually used the space and whether staff could manage the schedule. Wider opening hours should be considered only if the benefits justify the costs and risks.

6:A blanket ban on all notifications could prevent students from receiving urgent messages.

7:Urgent communication needs should not be ignored.

8:Schools could allow agreed exceptions for essential messages while limiting distracting alerts.

9:A notification policy should be used only if students can receive important information when necessary.

10:Silencing nonessential phone notifications during focused classroom tasks may help students avoid interruptions. Yet a complete ban on phone alerts could create problems for students who need urgent family or health-related messages. This concern deserves attention. A more balanced policy would allow agreed exceptions for essential communication while limiting social media notifications during short study periods. Teachers could explain the policy clearly and review individual needs with students and guardians where appropriate. Such a policy should not be treated as a universal solution. It would be reasonable only if it protects concentration without blocking important information.

11:One member could end up doing most of the work while others repeat only small tasks.

12:It is possible for fixed roles to produce unfair workloads.

13:Groups could record responsibilities, review progress together and rotate roles between projects.

14:Role assignments should remain flexible and be adjusted when workloads become unbalanced.

15:Group presentations can be easier to organize when students agree on responsibilities in advance. However, fixed roles may lead to unfair workloads or limit opportunities to learn different skills. That is a valid concern. Groups should therefore record each person’s tasks, review progress together and adjust roles if one student has too much work. Roles could also rotate between projects so that students experience research, writing and speaking over time. Clear responsibilities would then serve as a starting point rather than an inflexible rule. This approach may improve coordination while still allowing the group to share responsibility for the final presentation.

16:A reuse program could fail if available sizes are limited or the clothes are not properly inspected.

17:Concerns about fit, condition and hygiene are understandable.

18:The school could check donated items, clearly label sizes and keep new uniforms available.

19:The program should remain optional and should not reduce access to suitable new uniforms.

20:Schools could offer a voluntary uniform-reuse program to give families another option when choosing school clothes. However, second-hand uniforms may not be available in every size, and some families may worry about their condition or hygiene. Those concerns are reasonable. A school could inspect donated uniforms, label sizes clearly and explain how items are cleaned. It should also keep new uniforms available rather than making reused clothing compulsory. The program’s usefulness would need to be reviewed through actual demand and the availability of suitable items. An optional, well-managed approach could widen choice without assuming that reuse is right for every family.

21:An online meeting could reduce opportunities for detailed personal conversations.

22:Online access does not automatically provide the same interaction as an in-person meeting.

23:Schools could combine a live question period with separate private consultation slots.

24:Online participation should complement, not completely replace, face-to-face options.

25:Offering online access to some parent information meetings could make participation easier for families who cannot travel to school. Nevertheless, remote participants may have fewer chances to ask detailed questions or discuss sensitive matters privately. This is a genuine limitation. Schools could provide a moderated question period and offer separate, confidential consultation slots when necessary. Families should also have the option of meeting staff in person. The goal would not be to replace every face-to-face conversation with a screen, but to offer additional ways to receive information. The best arrangement should be reviewed in light of attendance and feedback.

26:Even short interruptions may be difficult when the class needs to finish a demanding topic.

27:Instruction time is limited, so breaks should have a clear purpose.

28:Teachers could test a short break at a suitable point and compare whether students can resume work smoothly.

29:The practice should be adjusted or stopped if it consistently disrupts learning.

30:A brief movement break during a long lesson may help some students return to a task with renewed attention. However, breaks also take time, and poorly timed interruptions could make an explanation harder to follow. This concern is valid, especially when a class is working through a difficult topic. Teachers could begin with a short, optional trial at a natural stopping point and observe how quickly students resume their work. They should not assume that every student benefits in the same way. If the break repeatedly disrupts the class, the timing or format should change. The decision should depend on classroom needs rather than a fixed rule.

31:A digital-only system could create unequal access to deadlines and announcements.

32:A single online channel is not accessible to every student at all times.

33:Schools could keep a printed notice point and have teachers repeat essential dates in class.

34:A central noticeboard should be adopted only alongside reliable alternative access routes.

35:A central digital noticeboard could make school deadlines easier to find by reducing the need to search several messages. Still, some students may not have reliable internet access outside school. A digital-only system could therefore make important information harder to obtain for those students. This objection should not be dismissed. The school could display printed notices in a consistent location and have teachers repeat essential deadlines in class. Staff should also check that updates are accurate and clearly dated. The digital page would then be one useful route to information rather than the only route. Any system should be reviewed for accessibility before wider adoption.

36:The cafeteria might prepare meals that few students order, raising waste and workload.

37:Preparing an extra menu can be costly if demand is uncertain.

38:A limited pre-order trial could let staff estimate demand before purchasing ingredients.

39:The menu should be continued only if the trial shows manageable demand, cost and food safety requirements.

40:A school cafeteria could test a pre-order system for an additional vegetarian meal, giving students another choice. However, extra menu options may raise costs and lead to wasted food if few people order them. This concern is reasonable. Rather than preparing a large number of meals immediately, the cafeteria could begin with a limited pre-order trial and use the orders to estimate ingredient needs. Staff would also have to check allergy information, food safety and the workload involved. The school should not promise that the option will be profitable or popular. Whether to continue should depend on actual orders, costs and safe operation.
