be supposed toは取り決め・期待・予定、be allowed toは許可、be required toは必須条件を表すのが中心です。
- be supposed to+原形:We are supposed to meet at nine.(9時に集まることになっている)。
- be allowed to+原形:You are allowed to use this room.(使ってもよい)。
- be required to+原形:Students are required to sign in.(受付が必須)。
- not allowed to:You are not allowed to take photos.(撮影禁止)。
- not required to:You are not required to bring lunch.(昼食の持参は不要)。
- not supposed to:You are not supposed to use your phone here.(ここでは使わないことになっている)。
25〜32:not supposed/not allowed/not requiredを比較する。

At Maple School, a language workshop was supposed to start at 9 a.m. on Saturday. Thirty students registered, but only twenty-six arrived that morning. Student helpers were required to wear name tags and sign in before 8:45. Parents were allowed to watch the opening talk, but they were not required to attend. Visitors were not allowed to take photographs inside the workshop room. Water in closed bottles was allowed, and bringing snacks was not required. At 8:50 a.m., the teachers learned that one bus was delayed. Instead of starting at nine, they began the opening talk at 9:20. The teachers explained that the original schedule had been changed. After the talk, eighteen students joined a speaking activity, while eight watched. The organizers recorded registration, attendance and active participation separately because these numbers described different actions.

問44:Were parents required to attend the opening talk?

答4:is / 理由:be supposed toはbe動詞+過去分詞supposed。
答5:We are supposed to bring our notebooks.
6:We are supposed to meet at 8:30 a.m.
7:The talk is supposed to start at 2 p.m.

答12:to / 理由:be allowed to+動詞原形。
答13:Our class is allowed to bring dictionaries.
14:Students are allowed to take photos here.
15:Eating and drinking are not allowed in the gym. You are not allowed to eat or drink in the gym.
答19:to / 理由:be required to+原形。

答21:Visitors are required to show their tickets. / 理由:be required to+動詞原形。
答22:Participants are required to submit an application form.
23:Not everyone is required to wear a uniform.
not supposed to・not allowed to・not required toを比較|解答・解説
答25:allowed / 理由:not allowed to=禁止。
答26:required / 理由:not required to=義務なし。

答31:We are supposed to be quiet in this room.

required toは必須。
- 禁止と不要を混同:not allowed toは禁じる、not required toは義務がない。
be supposed toはmustと同じですか?
not supposed toとnot allowed toは同じですか?
was supposed to start at nineは9時に始まった証拠ですか?
