まず結論｜「言及なし」と「否定された」を混同しない
not mentioned：話題に出ていない。本文がその情報を与えていないだけで、必ずしも事実と反対とはいえません。not true：本文と矛盾する。cannot be concluded：本文の根拠だけでは十分に断定できない。not yet：まだ実施・確定していない。試験で問われた条件に対応する本文を見つけ、証拠の範囲から先へ推測しないことが得点につながります。
解法の4ステップ
1. 問われた主語・時点・数字・対象範囲に印を付ける。2. 選択肢を『記載あり』『明確に否定』『未記載』『示唆はあるが未証明』のどれかに分類する。3. 『必ず・全員・唯一の原因・完全に成功』という強い言い換えには根拠を要求する。4. 正答後は誤答3択がどの部分で本文とずれたか説明する。
オリジナル長文1｜図書館の電子端末貸出｜事実と未確認の結果
A town library began lending small reading devices to families who lived far from the building. During the first month, 80 families registered, but only 52 borrowed a device. Each family was allowed to borrow one device for two weeks. The library did not charge a rental fee, although families had to pay if they lost a device.
Librarians offered short training sessions on Saturdays. Some parents said the devices made reading at home more convenient. Others worried that children might spend too much time looking at screens. The library had not measured whether students read more books than before.
After the trial, the director proposed expanding the service to two neighboring areas. However, the town council had not yet approved the expansion. The director said that both user feedback and repair costs should be reviewed before making a decision.

At the end of June, students found that the second garden had produced more tomatoes. They were pleased with the result, but their teacher explained that the containers might not be the only reason for the difference. The class had not kept the amount of sunlight equal between the groups.

A coastal town introduced a weekend bus route connecting a station with a public park. In the first four weeks, the operator recorded 600 paid rides. Of these, 180 tickets were bought through a mobile app. Children under six could travel without a fare when accompanied by an adult, but their rides were not included in the paid total.

本文に書かれていないことは、実世界で必ず間違いだとは限りません。ただし内容一致問題で『本文に基づいて選ぶ』場合には、根拠がなければ選べません。not mentionedとfalseの違いを意識します。
Q. mayとmustは入れ替えできますか？
できません。mayは可能性・許可など、mustは強い義務・推量を表します。可能性だけの記述を必ず起きることに書き換えると意味が変わります。
Q. 正答を選ぶまでに長文を何度も読み直すべきですか？
必要な範囲だけ戻って構いません。設問の主語とキーワードから根拠箇所を探し、誤答3択のズレを説明できたら次へ進みます。
