結論：説明文を聞くときは、①誰・何について話しているか、②なぜその説明をしているか、③話の最後にどんな結論・目的が示されているかを確認します。however, but, instead, because, finallyなどは内容の関係を示す手掛かりですが、出現した語だけで答えを決めず、全文の意味を確かめてください。
英検協会の公式3級リスニング第3部は4肢選択10問・放送2回です。ここに含む「主旨の選択・1文での言い換え・誤文修正」は慶英会独自の学習課題であり、同じ形式の32問が公式に出題されるわけではありません。音声は付属しません。保護者・講師の読み上げで練習し、公式音源で本番に近い条件を確認してください。
第3部の主旨が分かっても、希望を事実と間違える場合

英検3級第3部では文章全体の目的を聞くほかに、内容に関する事実を4択から選ぶ必要があります。昔と今・変更なしの条件を区別する8台本40課題で、主旨と具体的な数字の聞き取りを組み合わせて練習できます。

英検3級リスニング第3部｜主旨が聞けてもit・theyが追えない場合

英検3級リスニング第3部の出題形式と本教材
日本英語検定協会の英検3級試験内容では、第3部は短いパッセージについての内容一致問題10問、4肢選択、放送2回です。第1部（会話の応答文3択10問・1回放送）、第2部（会話内容一致4択10問・2回放送）とは異なります。本文の種類には短い物語文・説明文が含まれます。

リスニング第3部で主旨と目的を聞き分ける4ステップ
1．最初の一文で話題を捉える
Our school library will begin a new program.なら「図書館の新しい活動」が話題です。具体的な時刻・人数を覚える前に、何の案内なのか大まかに把握します。
2．中盤で問題・変更・理由を確認
At first … but now …では前の予定と新しい予定が対比されています。becauseの後は理由です。数字だけを拾うのではなく変更理由・誰が行動したかを確認してください。
3．最後のまとめに注目する
We hope this program will help everyone enjoy reading.なら「読書を楽しめるようにする」という目的です。最後の一文に必ず正解があるわけではありませんが、話の意図が明確になる場合があります。
4．一つの具体例と文章全体の目的を混同しない
『水曜4時に集まる』は一つの詳細情報、『英語の本を読む活動に参加してもらう』は文章全体の目的です。What is the main purpose?とWhen will students meet?では答えの種類が異なります。
