Stakeholder Analysis

Original fictional case: In a fictional school, a student committee proposed keeping the study room open for an extra hour on Fridays. A voluntary survey received 60 responses: 36 students supported a trial, 12 opposed it and 12 were undecided. Some students wanted a quiet place after lessons, while others preferred to leave school earlier. Library staff said that a later session would need two supervisors and a safe departure plan. They had not calculated the additional staffing cost. The principal had authority to approve a trial, but no decision had been made. The committee was asked to identify affected groups, separate evidence from preferences and propose a limited evaluation rather than claiming that the school had approved permanent opening.

問1:Identify three stakeholder groups in the proposal.

問2:What percentage of survey respondents supported a trial?

問3:What percentage had not expressed support?

問4:What interest motivated some supporting students?

問5:What two operational conditions did staff identify?

問6:Was the additional staffing cost known?

問7:Who had the authority to approve the proposed trial?

問8:Had permanent Friday opening been approved?

問9:Write a balanced conditional recommendation.

問10:Write an 85–120-word stakeholder summary.

Original fictional case: A fictional festival committee proposed replacing all printed guide maps with QR-code posters. An optional survey received 50 responses: 30 favoured digital maps, 15 favoured paper and 5 were unsure. The design team liked the possibility of correcting online maps quickly. Some visitors, however, might not have reliable smartphone access. Teachers wanted clear instructions and safe routes. Volunteers at the information desk wanted a simple system that they could explain to visitors. A budget officer had not yet compared printing, poster and maintenance costs. The committee could prepare a recommendation, but the school administration would make the final decision. No visitor navigation trial had been conducted, and the school had not approved the change.

問11:What change was proposed for festival guidance?

問12:Calculate the digital-map preference among respondents.

問13:How many respondents preferred paper or were unsure?

問14:What benefit did the design team identify?

問15:Identify an accessibility concern.

問16:What safety concern did teachers raise?

問17:Which financial information remained missing?

問18:Who would make the final decision?

問19:Does the survey prove which map visitors can use most successfully?

問20:Synthesize a balanced recommendation.

Original fictional case: A fictional science club wanted to use a laboratory on Wednesday evenings. Eight of its twelve teams reported interest in an extra session. The club leader believed that additional access could help teams finish planned observations. A supervising teacher said that equipment checks and trained supervision would be required. The safety coordinator wanted an approved closing procedure, while the budget office estimated an additional 25,000 yen per evening for staffing and utilities. That figure was only an estimate; no extra session had been held. Four teams did not report interest, and no survey of other students was conducted. The principal had not approved the change. The club was considering a one-evening pilot subject to safety and budget approval.

問21:How many science-club teams were in the proposal?

問22:How many expressed interest in an extra evening?

問23:Calculate the interested share to one decimal place.

問24:Does this show that two-thirds of all school students want the change?

問25:What benefit did the club leader anticipate?

問26:What did the supervising teacher require?

問27:What was the estimated added cost per evening?

問28:Who had not yet approved the plan?

問29:Suggest a conditional pilot design.

問30:Write a summary weighing needs and constraints.

Original fictional case: A fictional school was considering a voluntary trial of an automated English-writing feedback system. Thirty students previewed a demonstration, and twenty-four said that rapid comments would be useful. They did not complete an actual learning-outcome trial. The software team expected that students could revise drafts more quickly, but teachers were concerned about errors in suggested corrections. The privacy adviser wanted to know what student writing and identifiers would be stored. Some students might not have reliable access to a suitable device. The school had no verified comparison of final writing scores, costs or data-retention rules. A teacher-led alternative would remain available during a possible pilot, and any full adoption would require further review.

問31:What did the thirty students actually experience?

問32:How many expected rapid feedback to be useful?

問33:What percentage did that represent?

問34:Does that establish an improvement in writing scores?

問35:Identify the teachers’ main concern.

問36:What information did the privacy adviser want?

問37:Identify one equity concern.

問38:What alternative would remain during a pilot?

問39:Write a cautious decision rule.

問40:Write an integrated stakeholder assessment.

9:A supervised Friday trial could be considered after costs, staffing and safety have been reviewed.

10:A student committee proposed one extra hour of study-room access on Fridays. Of sixty voluntary survey respondents, thirty-six supported a trial, twelve opposed it and twelve were undecided. Students might benefit from additional quiet space, but not everyone expressed a need for it. Library staff identified a requirement for two supervisors and a safe departure plan, while staffing costs remained unknown. The principal, rather than the committee, had the authority to approve the trial. A reasonable next step would be to estimate the costs and review safety before deciding whether to test the plan. No permanent change has been approved.

17:The costs of printing, posters and maintenance had not been compared.

18:The school administration would decide, not the festival committee.

19:No. The survey asked preferences and no navigation trial was conducted.

20:The survey suggests that digital maps appeal to many respondents, and online updates could be convenient. However, fifteen respondents favoured paper and some visitors might lack reliable smartphone access. Teachers also require safe routes, volunteers need instructions they can explain and the relevant costs have not been compared. The committee could recommend testing both formats with a wider group of visitors and checking costs before a final decision. The school administration would then be able to consider accessibility, clarity and feasibility. The proposed removal of printed maps has not been approved.

28:The principal had not approved the change.

29:A one-evening pilot could be considered only after safety procedures and the estimated budget are approved.

30:Eight of twelve science-club teams expressed interest in a Wednesday evening laboratory session, so there is evidence of demand among club teams. The leader expected additional observation time to be useful, but that benefit has not been measured. Teachers and safety staff required equipment checks, trained supervision and a closing procedure. The budget office estimated 25,000 yen in extra costs per evening, not an actual expense. Because approval has not been given, the club should not describe the extension as available. A limited pilot could be considered only after the school reviews the safety arrangements and budget.

31:They previewed a demonstration, not a completed learning-outcome trial.

32:Twenty-four of thirty students expected it to be useful.

33:It represented 80 percent of the demonstration viewers.

34:No. No learning-outcome comparison was conducted.

35:Suggested corrections could be inaccurate.

36:What writing and identifiers would be stored and how they would be handled.

37:Some students might lack a suitable device or reliable access.

38:Teacher-led feedback would remain available.

39:Full adoption should require evidence about feedback accuracy, learning outcomes, privacy, accessibility and costs.

40:In a demonstration, twenty-four of thirty students expected rapid automated writing feedback to be useful. The software team anticipated faster revision, but teachers worried about incorrect suggestions. The privacy adviser asked what writing and identifiers would be stored, while students without suitable devices might face access barriers. No trial had established improved final writing scores or the system’s costs. A voluntary, teacher-supervised pilot could compare feedback quality and learning outcomes while maintaining a teacher-led alternative. Wider adoption should depend on verified accuracy, appropriate privacy safeguards, equitable access and manageable expense rather than favourable reactions to a demonstration.
