give careful consideration toは「慎重に検討する」、out of consideration for othersは「他者への配慮から」です。

The student library committee reviewed its lunchtime study programme after two months. Members had made considerable progress in organising the room and preparing short reading guides. At first, the guides used small print that was difficult for some students to read. One member was considerate of pupils who needed larger text and prepared a large-print version. The committee also tried to reduce the time that students spent finding the right worksheets. It reviewed the order of the materials and placed signs near the shelves. These changes seemed useful, but the committee had not measured whether students’ reading scores had improved. A teacher reminded the group that organising materials more efficiently did not automatically prove an improvement in learning outcomes. The committee was considering adding a second study session on Fridays. Before making the decision, it wanted to take room capacity, teacher availability and printing costs into consideration. The school had not approved the additional session. The committee planned to ask participants for feedback and compare the results after another month.

Considerable progress.

理由:made considerable progress。

Providing a large-print copy.

理由:considerate of students who needed larger print。

Whether to add a second session.

理由:not yet approved。

Read B|

Read B|

For an English project, a class asked students to compare two plans for an outdoor reading event. Only twenty students answered the first survey, and fifteen of them preferred Plan A. Some members argued that seventy-five percent of the entire school therefore wanted Plan A. Their teacher said that this conclusion required more careful consideration. The percentage was accurate for the twenty respondents, but it did not prove the preferences of every student. Considering the small sample size, the class decided to collect more responses from different school years. Another member suggested giving students more time to answer. She explained that a considerate survey should allow pupils who needed extra time or accessible materials to participate. The group prepared a second questionnaire with clearer wording and a larger-font version. It also asked whether costs for both plans had been compared fairly. The teacher approved another survey, but not the reading event itself. The class planned to review the new information before making a final recommendation. Its report stated that the initial survey offered useful evidence about a small group, not conclusive proof about the whole school.

Q37. Read B|

理由:only twenty people had answered。

Q38. Read B|

Plan A.

和訳:A案。

理由:fifteen preferred Plan A。

解答:No.

理由:considering the sample size。

Q40. Read B|

Students who needed more time to respond.

理由:be considerate of their needs。
