時間切れを減らす初見語彙の読解：知らない単語ですべて立ち止まらないために、Stage2の未知語文脈推測・独自4長文40問で、推測→本文根拠→あとで辞書確認という順番を練習できます。

時間切れの原因は3種類｜どこで止まったかを分ける

速読の前にやる『設問→本文→根拠』の順序

1. 1. 設問を10〜30秒程度で確認：本文を全部読まず、何を問うか（人・曜日・原因・数値・条件）を探す。これは練習の参考時間であり、全員共通の正解時間ではありません。
2. 2. 本文を読み進める：英単語を一語ずつ日本語に置き換えず、主語と動詞を見つけて文の骨格を保持する。
3. 3. 逆接・変更・否定を囲む：however、instead、only、before、notなどは結論や条件を変える合図です。
4. 4. 答えの根拠へ戻る：選択肢と同じ単語を探すだけでなく、意味が一致することを本文の記述で確認する。
5. 5. 最後に計測：本文を初めて読む時間・設問に答える時間・合計時間を別々に記録し、次回の改善点を決める。

自分の読書速度を数値化する場合は、本文の英単語数÷読了時間（分）＝毎分語数として記録できます。ただし高速で読めても正答率が低ければ目的は達していません。正答の根拠を示せることと、同程度の難度の初見文で処理時間が短縮することを両方確認してください。音読速度と黙読・設問処理の速度も混同しないでください。

4つの長文は図書館・理科調査・アンケート・校外学習という日常的な内容です。最初は時間を測らず、設問の種類と根拠を意識します。2回目は英文と選択肢を初めて見るのに近い条件を作るため、本文の名詞や数字を変えた別教材でも同じ手順を使ってください。同じ問題を暗記して速くなっても、初見読解力の向上とは断定できません。

Read 1｜図書館のお知らせ｜変更前後を区別（問題1〜10）

読解用オリジナル英文：The school library will begin a new afternoon program next month. At first, the club planned to meet on Wednesdays at 4:00. However, several students have music lessons on Wednesdays, so the librarian moved the meetings to Thursdays at 3:30. Members must register by the final Monday of this month. The program is free, but students need to bring their own notebooks. The librarian will give a short introduction during the first meeting. Their teacher reminded them that the results described the sixty participants, not the whole school. They also asked whether students had changed their usual route during the previous month. Fifteen students said yes. Of these fifteen, nine had changed because of bad weather and six because of construction near their homes. The class made a bar chart with the four transport groups.
