NEW TREASURE（ニュートレジャー）Stage1の中1向けに、2つの場面の違いを英語で説明する独自40問を公開します。教室・学校の花壇・図書室・公園の4組の場面A／場面Bを、人物・物の数・位置・行動の比較表として示し、There is/are、現在進行形、more than、butなどの英作文に応用します。全40問の模範解答と理由・場面の日本語訳を掲載しました。
結論：2つの絵や場面の違いを英語で説明するには、①同じ項目を探す②数・場所・動作のどれが違うか確かめる③主語＋動詞の短い英文にする④A but Bで比較する順に進めます。たとえばThere are three students in A, but five in B.（Aは3人、Bは5人です）のように、人数の違いを正確に述べます。
本教材は画像の転載ではなく、慶英会が独自に設定した2場面を表で表現した視覚的な比較教材です。描写情報は各表にすべて記載し、場面の外にある物を推測して追加しません。出版社・実際の学校のイラストや教科書本文、試験問題は使っていません。比較級や現在進行形が未習の場合は学校で扱った後に解いてください。
2場面の比較に使う4つの英語の型

人物の動作は現在進行形、数はThere is/areやhave/has、位置はin/on/under/above/next toで説明します。違う2つの教室と、同じ公園の2時点は区別します。別の部屋なのに『あとで変化した』という時間の順序を勝手に作ってはいけません。

A｜教室の場面A・Bを比較
場面の英文説明：These are two imaginary classrooms, A and B. They are different rooms, not before-and-after pictures of the same room. The table describes only the objects and people shown.

場面の英文説明：These are two different imaginary school gardens. In Garden A there are three red flowers and two white flowers. In Garden B there are five red flowers and one white flower. Aya is watering plants in A. Yui is planting a seed in B. A watering can is beside a tree in A and under a bench in B. There is one bench in each garden.

At nine, there are four chairs, two students, an empty table and no signs. At ten, there are six chairs, five students, two books on the table and one sign beside the gate. In A, Ken is carrying chairs; in B, he is speaking to visitors.

場面の全文和訳：架空の異なる2教室A・Bです。同じ教室の変化前後ではありません。表に示した人・物だけを比較します。

場面の全文和訳：架空の2つの花壇を比べます。Aは赤い花3本、白い花2本。Bは赤い花5本、白い花1本。Aではアヤが水やり、Bではユイが種を植えています。じょうろはAでは木の隣、Bではベンチの下。ベンチは両方に1台ずつあります。

場面の全文和訳：2つの独立した図書室場面です。Aでは生徒2人が机で読書をし、コンピューター1台が机に、棚に本が3冊あります。Bでは生徒3人が机で何かを書き、机にコンピューターはなく、棚に本5冊があります。司書はAで入口付近、Bで窓のそばにいます。

場面の全文和訳：架空の同じ公園について土曜9時（活動前）と10時（活動中）を比較します。9時は椅子4脚、生徒2人、何もない机、看板0枚です。10時は椅子6脚、生徒5人、机に本2冊、門のそばに看板1枚。ケンは9時には椅子を運び、10時には来客へ話しかけています。

- 問32：Ten a.m.（Bの時刻は10時。）

2場面の英作文で間違えやすい4つの点
- 数の対応：Scene AとScene Bを取り違えず、three/five、two/fourなどを表から写す。
- 同じ点の見落とし：花壇のベンチはどちらも1台なので『Bの方が多い』は誤り。
- 位置：under a bench（下）とbeside a tree（隣）は別の関係。
- 時間：独立した部屋A・Bには時間変化を付けず、公園のA・Bだけ9時→10時という順序を表せる。
