suggested / approved / decided / may / has not decided

Reading passage 1(オリジナル英文)

At Maple Junior High School, students often had trouble finding a quiet place to study after classes. In March, the student council suggested opening an empty classroom every Friday. The council originally wanted to keep the room open until 6:00 p.m., but teachers could supervise students only until 5:30. The principal therefore approved a four-week trial in April, from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. on Fridays. All grades could use the room, but students had to register by noon on Thursday. Twenty-four students attended the first session. In a survey answered by eighteen students, fifteen said the room was quiet enough, and six wanted longer hours.
