The nature center has two walking routes to a bird-watching area. The short Lake Path is normally open, but it is closed after heavy rain because some wooden steps become slippery. In that situation, walkers must take Hill Path instead. Hill Path takes twenty-five minutes from the visitor center, compared with fifteen minutes for Lake Path in dry weather. Today’s rain has closed Lake Path, but Hill Path is open. The nature guide asks people to remain on marked paths and not cross the safety barrier. The bird-watching activity is still planned for eleven, although the guide will check conditions again at ten. Visitors should not treat a longer walking route as a cancellation of the activity.

    1. Lake Path.
    2. Hill Path.
    3. Both routes.
    4. Every road near the nature center.
