In a small town, volunteers opened a seed-sharing shelf at the public library. Visitors could take one packet of vegetable seeds for free and were invited to bring unused seeds from their gardens. Each packet had a label showing the type of plant and the date the seeds were collected. During the first month, 84 visitors took packets from the shelf. The volunteers recorded 126 packets taken because some visitors chose more than one packet over several visits. A few people returned packets they had not used, but these were recorded separately. The library asked 42 visitors whether they planned to grow the seeds. Thirty said yes, eight were unsure, and four said no. The volunteers explained that this was only a survey of people who answered. They had not checked whether the seeds were actually planted or grew successfully. Therefore, they could not say that all 126 packets had produced vegetables. Some visitors said the labels were difficult to understand. The volunteers added simple pictures and clearer planting instructions. They will ask users about the new labels before deciding whether to add more seed types next year.

Q26. How many visitors took seed packets in the first month?

  1. 42
  2. 84
  3. 126
  4. 168

Q27. Why did the volunteers record 126 packets taken?

  1. Each visitor took exactly two packets
  2. Some visitors took more than one packet over several visits
  3. Every packet was returned
  4. The library sold 126 books

Q28. What did 30 of the 42 surveyed visitors say?

  1. They planned to grow the seeds
  2. They had harvested vegetables already
  3. They wanted the shelf removed
  4. They had never visited the library

Q29. Why did the volunteers add pictures to the seed labels?

  1. There were too many vegetables
  2. The library was closing
  3. Some visitors found the labels difficult to understand
  4. All visitors wanted to buy seeds

Q21 正解1「As a result」

Q22 正解2「to collect more evidence」

2「Some visitors took more than one packet over several visits」

1「They planned to grow the seeds」

3「Some visitors found the labels difficult to understand」
