英検4級somewhere・anywhere・everywhere・nowhereの違い｜場所と否定の独自40問【全訳・全解答】

英検4級のsomewhere・anywhere・everywhere・nowhereは、場所を『どこか』『どこにも（否定）』『至る所』『どこにもない』とどう表すかが違います。somewhereは特定されない場所、anywhereは否定文や質問で『どこか・どこにも』、everywhereはすべての場所、nowhereは場所がないことを表します。慶英会独自40問を使って、場所・否定・全体を読み分けましょう。

somewhere・anywhere・everywhere・nowhereの違い

somewhere：I left my book somewhere in this room.（この部屋のどこかに本を置いた）／anywhere：I can’t find my book anywhere.（どこにも本が見つからない）／everywhere：There are flowers everywhere.（至る所に花がある）／nowhere：There is nowhere to sit.（座る場所がない）。

『どこにもない』は not … anywhere と nowhere の2通りで表せます。I can’t find it anywhere. や I have nowhere to sit. は正しい形ですが、I don’t have nowhere to sit. のように二重否定を基本の否定文として使わないように注意します。anywhereは肯定文でも『どこでも（選択は自由）』という意味で使えますが、この教材では主に否定文と対比します。

somewhereは『どこか特定できない場所』、anywhereは疑問・否定・自由選択などの文脈で『どこか・どこにも・どこでも』を表します。I left it somewhere. と I couldn’t find it anywhere. を比較してください。

nowhereとnot anywhereは同じですか。
