相手の意見に反対するときは、相手の主張を正確に言い換えてから理由を述べます。I understand your concern. However, our delegation believes… のように始めると、相手を否定するだけでなく、論点に焦点を当てて応答できます。合意を目指す場合は、What do we agree on?、Which part can we change? と共通点や修正可能な点を尋ねます。
