Mika said, “I am preparing the report.” Mika said that she was preparing the report. Iがsheに変わり、過去から報告するためam preparingがwas preparingへ変わります。
- say+内容:She said that the report was ready.
She told us that the report was ready.(伝えた相手を示す)
- ask+if/whether:He asked whether the hall was open.(yes/no質問)
- ask+疑問詞:She asked when the meeting would start.(間接疑問の通常語順)
- tell / warn+人+to不定詞:They warned visitors not to enter.(注意・指示)
Cambridge DictionaryのReported speechとSay or tell? say me / tell that
またyesterday→the day before、tomorrow→the following day、I→sheなど、報告する時点と話者も確認します。
He claimed that the treatment worked. He confirmed that the event had been canceled. She suggested checking the data.

At a fictional town center, three people discussed a planned community workshop. The facility manager confirmed that the room could hold thirty people. Mina suggested starting at 16:00 the following Friday. Ken warned that transport might be difficult for visitors traveling from distant neighborhoods. Nobody had checked the number of registered participants.
Paragraph 2
The following morning, the organizers published an updated notice stating that the workshop would begin at 15:30 on Friday. It did not change the room or the capacity. A blog post that had copied the earlier plan still listed 16:00, and it claimed that thirty people would attend. The organizers asked readers to use the updated notice and said they had not yet confirmed how many participants were registered.

Paragraph 1
A reporter at a fictional history exhibition interviewed people who remembered the old market. One shopkeeper said, ‘I think the market stopped operating in 1992, but I might be mistaken.’ Another resident recalled that the market used to be busy on weekends, yet she did not offer an exact closing date.
Paragraph 2
A municipal registry confirmed that a new market building was formally registered in 1994. However, that document did not state when the old market finally stopped trading. The reporter wrote that the two dates might be connected but declined to describe the connection as established fact. Instead, the article suggested looking for trading records and archived newspapers before making a definitive statement.

A. いいえ。
A. Where does she live? He asked where she lived.
