  • Question / Focus:

例:『Every student needs a longer library schedule.』 『One observation showed 20 of 24 seats occupied at 4 p.m.; whether longer hours would be useful still requires a trial.』

Roadmap

Fictional essay brief: A fictional school has a study room with 24 seats. At 4 p.m. on one recorded day, 20 seats were occupied. No daily visitor total, waiting-time measurement or staffing-cost estimate is available. The essay question asks whether a supervised Friday trial of extended hours is worth considering, not whether permanent opening is already approved.

問1:Write the essay question in neutral English.

問2:Write one factual opening sentence without sensational language.

問3:Present the recorded seat count accurately.

問4:Calculate the approximate proportion of occupied seats.

問5:Name an important unknown in one sentence.

問9:Write a final bridge sentence leading to the body.

問10:Write a complete 80–110-word introduction paragraph.

Fictional essay brief: A fictional school invited students to take a voluntary survey about notices. Forty students responded: 26 preferred digital notices and 14 preferred printed notices. No responses from nonparticipants or records of smartphone access were collected. The essay asks whether the school should remove paper notices immediately.

問11:Write the central essay question neutrally.

問12:Write an introductory sentence describing both options.

問13:Give the survey result in one accurate sentence.

問14:Calculate the share that preferred digital notices.

Fictional essay brief: A fictional school tested an optional English reading club in two lunchtime sessions. The first recorded 10 attendances, and the second 15. A student could attend both sessions. Reading scores, satisfaction, room availability and staff workload were not measured. The essay asks whether regular sessions should be considered.

問21:Turn the essay prompt into a neutral question.

問22:Open with an appropriately limited background sentence.

問23:Write the recorded participation data.

問24:Calculate the difference between the sessions.

問25:Name two unanswered questions.

問30:Write a complete introduction.

Fictional essay brief: At a fictional school, 80 items were inspected before new recycling signs, and another 80 afterward. The incorrectly sorted items fell from 24 to 16. Students also received verbal reminders between the checks, and the inspection days differed. The essay asks whether the school should claim that the signs alone caused the improvement.

問31:Formulate the issue as a precise question.

問32:Write a brief, neutral opening.

問33:State the observed counts.

問34:Calculate the change in recorded error rate.

問35:Identify the alternative explanation.

1:Should the school consider a supervised trial of longer study-room hours?

2:Some students may need a quiet place to study after lessons.

3:On one day at 4 p.m., 20 of the 24 study-room seats were occupied.

4:About 83.3 percent of the seats were occupied at that time.

5:Waiting times and the staffing costs of later opening have not been measured.

6:A short supervised Friday trial could be useful if staffing and safety conditions are met.

7:The essay will consider observed seat use and the practical requirements of supervision.

8:A single observation suggests substantial seat use at one time, but daily demand is unknown.

9:The first issue is what the existing seat records can and cannot show.

10:After-school study space can matter to students who need a quiet place to work. At one fictional school, 20 of 24 study-room seats were occupied at 4 p.m. on a single day. This observation suggests that the room was well used at that moment, but it does not establish daily demand or waiting times. The school is considering whether to test longer hours on Fridays. A limited trial may be reasonable if staffing and safety can be arranged. This essay will first examine the recorded seat use and then consider the practical conditions needed before any expansion.

11:Should the school replace printed notices entirely with digital messages?

12:Schools may share information through digital notices, printed sheets or both.

13:Among 40 respondents, 26 preferred digital notices and 14 preferred printed ones.

14:Sixty-five percent of respondents preferred the digital option.

15:The survey did not measure whether all students could access digital notices.

16:The school should retain an accessible printed option until digital access is assessed.

17:The essay will examine student preferences and the practical need for inclusive access.

18:Digital notices were preferred by most survey respondents, not necessarily by all students.

19:The survey preferences provide a useful starting point, although they are not the whole picture.

20:School notices can reach students through printed sheets, online messages or a combination of both. In one voluntary survey, 26 of 40 respondents preferred digital notices, while 14 preferred paper. These answers show a majority preference among respondents but do not describe the views or access conditions of every student. The school must therefore consider more than convenience before removing printed information. I argue that a printed option should remain available until digital access has been checked. The following discussion will examine the survey results and then consider students who may have difficulty using an online-only system.

21:Should the school consider offering regular optional English reading sessions?

22:Optional reading groups may give students another opportunity to use English.

23:The two sessions recorded 10 and 15 attendances respectively.

24:The second session recorded five more attendances.

25:Changes in reading scores and staff workload were not measured.

26:A longer optional trial could be considered before any permanent reading club is introduced.

27:The essay will discuss recorded attendance and whether regular operation is feasible.

28:The attendance records do not establish that reading ability improved.

29:The first step is to interpret what the two attendance totals actually represent.

30:Students may benefit from opportunities to read English outside ordinary lessons. A fictional school held two optional lunchtime reading sessions and recorded 10 and 15 attendances. The numbers suggest that the second session attracted more recorded visits, but they do not show how many different students participated or whether anyone’s reading improved. The school is considering regular sessions. I argue that another limited trial would be preferable to immediate permanent expansion. To assess that choice, this essay will consider the participation records and then examine the unmeasured practical demands, including room availability and staff time.

31:Do the recorded results establish that the new sorting signs alone reduced errors?

32:Schools may use signs and reminders to encourage correct waste sorting.

33:Incorrectly sorted items fell from 24 of 80 to 16 of 80.

34:The recorded error rate fell from 30 to 20 percent, a decrease of 10 percentage points.

35:Verbal reminders were introduced during the same period.

36:The school can report fewer recorded errors but should not claim that signs alone caused the change.

37:The essay will examine the counts and the other changes that occurred between inspections.

38:Fewer errors were recorded after the signs were introduced, but the cause remains uncertain.

39:The observed percentages are useful evidence, but they require careful interpretation.

40:Clear waste-sorting information matters in schools that use several recycling bins. One school checked 80 items before and another 80 after introducing new signs. Incorrectly sorted items fell from 24 to 16, corresponding to a recorded decrease from 30 to 20 percent. This difference is worth examining, but the school also gave verbal reminders during the period, and the inspection days were different. I argue that the school may report the observed reduction but should not attribute it to the signs alone. The discussion will examine the numerical evidence and then consider other possible explanations.
