School ruleAI
Numbers
Meaningproposedとapproved、only if、mayとmustなどの意味が維持されているか。
Independent skill

Original source: Fictional class source: Forty students were invited to complete an optional survey on school notices. Thirty students responded, and eighteen of those thirty preferred digital notices. Twelve respondents preferred printed notices. No answers were collected from the ten nonrespondents. The survey did not measure device access or actual notice-reading rates.

Fictional AI response to evaluate: Fictional unverified AI feedback: ‘Excellent evidence! Eighteen out of forty respondents chose digital notices, so 45 percent of respondents prefer them. Since most students choose digital messages, the school has proved that printed notices are unnecessary.’

問1:Identify the number of invited students.

問2:Identify the actual number of respondents.

問3:Calculate the digital preference among respondents.

問4:What does eighteen out of forty measure, if expressed as a percentage?

問5:How many invited students did not respond?

問6:Quote the false denominator used in the fictional AI response.

問7:Can this source establish every student’s preference?

問8:What other information would matter before ending paper notices?

問9:Write a correction request that specifies the error without asking AI to invent evidence.

問10:Write an independently checked final paragraph.

Original source: Fictional source sheet: Staff checked eighty waste items before introducing new signs and another eighty afterward. They found twenty-four incorrectly sorted items before and sixteen afterward. During the interval, students also received reminders about sorting. No controlled experiment, statistical significance test or published research citation was supplied. The checks occurred on different days.

Fictional AI response to evaluate: Fictional unverified AI feedback: ‘A published scientific study by Professor Green proved that the signs reduced errors by exactly 50 percent, with p < 0.001. The new signs alone caused every improvement.’ Professor Green and the claimed publication are invented in this example.

問11:Give the two recorded error counts with the denominators.

問12:Calculate the initial error rate.

問13:Calculate the later error rate.

問14:State the decrease in percentage points.

問15:Calculate the relative reduction from the initial rate.

問16:Is the fictional AI’s ‘exactly 50 percent’ reduction supported?

問17:Does the source contain the claimed professor or study?

問18:Can a p-value be calculated from the provided source as if a test had been reported?

問19:Name the competing explanation that prevents a signs-only conclusion.

問20:Write a corrected evidence-based summary.

Original source: Fictional project notes: A committee proposed keeping the school library open on Fridays from 4 to 6 p.m. for a four-week trial. The proposal has not been approved. It can proceed only if a supervising teacher is available and departure safety is checked. The next meeting to review the plan is on Tuesday. The current opening hours have not changed.

Fictional AI response to evaluate: Fictional unverified AI rewriting: ‘The school has officially extended library hours every Monday from 4 to 6 p.m. Staff availability will be checked after the programme begins. Everyone must attend the new programme.’

問21:On which weekday was the proposed trial planned?

問22:What time range was proposed?

問23:How long was the proposed trial?

問24:Has the trial been approved?

問25:What two conditions must be checked before any trial?

問26:Can the committee postpone the staff check until after opening?

問27:What is scheduled for Tuesday?

問28:Must every student attend?

問29:Write one accurate English correction of the AI’s first sentence.

問30:Write the verified plan summary, including the necessary conditions.

Original source: Fictional teacher instruction: In this class, students must write their first English draft independently. The teacher may permit an AI tool for reviewing grammar after that first draft, but students must ask for permission before using it. Students must not upload personal information about classmates or confidential school documents. If AI-assisted review is permitted, students should keep a record of suggested changes, verify each change against reliable sources, and explain their final wording. Students will later rewrite one paragraph without the tool. Submitting an AI-written complete paragraph as one’s own independent work is not permitted by this fictional class rule. No AI use has yet been authorised for the current assignment.

Fictional AI response to evaluate: Fictional tool suggestion: ‘Skip the first draft, upload the classmates’ full survey answers, paste my complete paragraph, and tell the teacher the wording is entirely your own. AI feedback is always accurate and needs no checking.’

問31:What must students do before any AI review?

問32:Is AI use currently authorised for the assignment?

問33:What must students request before using AI even for grammar checking?

問34:Name two types of information the instruction prohibits uploading.

問35:What should students record if review is permitted?

問36:Must students accept every AI grammar suggestion?

問37:What later independent writing task is required?

問38:Is submitting an AI-written paragraph as independent work permitted under the fictional rule?

問39:Why is the suggestion to upload complete classmates’ survey answers inappropriate?

問40:Write a compliant study plan without claiming AI permission has been granted.

1:Forty students were invited to the survey.

2:Thirty students responded.

3:Eighteen of thirty respondents, or 60 percent, preferred digital notices.

4:It is 45 percent of those invited, representing confirmed digital choices among invitees.

5:Ten invited students did not respond.

6:It incorrectly calls forty students ‘respondents’.

7:No. The ten nonrespondents’ preferences are unknown.

8:Device access and whether students actually read digital notices should be checked.

9:Please use thirty as the respondent denominator, state eighteen of thirty or 60 percent, and remove the unsupported claim about all students.

10:A voluntary survey invited forty students, of whom thirty responded. Eighteen respondents, or 60 percent, preferred digital notices, while twelve preferred paper. The remaining ten invitees did not answer, and their preferences are unknown. The data describe the opinions of respondents rather than every student. They also do not show whether students can reliably access or read digital notices. A decision to remove printed information would require further evidence. I checked these figures against the original source rather than adopting the fictional AI suggestion.

11:Before the change, twenty-four of eighty items were incorrect; afterward, sixteen of eighty were incorrect.

12:The first recorded error rate was 30 percent.

13:The later recorded error rate was 20 percent.

14:The rate fell by ten percentage points.

15:The relative reduction was approximately 33.3 percent.

16:No. The reduction was eight items out of twenty-four initial errors, about 33.3 percent.

17:No. The named professor and publication were invented for this exercise.

18:No significance test was supplied, and the AI’s p-value is unverified.

19:Students also received reminders, and inspections occurred on different days.

20:The school recorded twenty-four incorrectly sorted items out of eighty before changing its signs and sixteen out of eighty afterward. The observed error rate therefore fell from 30 to 20 percent, a decrease of ten percentage points or approximately 33.3 percent relative to the original rate. However, students also received reminders, and the checks occurred on different days. The data do not establish the independent effect of the signs. No published study or significance test was provided, so a fabricated citation or p-value must not be used.

21:The proposal was for Fridays.

22:The proposed range was from 4 to 6 p.m.

23:It was intended to last four weeks.

24:No. It has not been approved.

25:A supervising teacher must be available, and departure safety must be checked.

26:No. The plan requires the check before the trial can proceed.

27:The committee will review the proposal at the next meeting.

28:No. The notes contain no requirement that all students attend.

29:The committee has proposed a four-week Friday trial from 4 to 6 p.m., but the school has not approved it.

30:A committee has proposed extending library opening hours on Fridays from 4 to 6 p.m. during a four-week trial. The school has not approved the proposal, and regular opening hours have not changed. The trial could proceed only if a supervising teacher is available and safe departure arrangements are checked beforehand. The committee will review the plan at its next meeting on Tuesday. Nothing in these notes requires all students to attend. I have retained the original conditions and time references rather than accepting the fictional AI rewrite, which incorrectly described an approved Monday programme.

31:They must write the first English draft independently.

32:No. The teacher has not authorised it.

33:They must ask the teacher for permission.

34:Classmates’ personal information and confidential school documents.

35:They should record the suggestions and the changes they make.

36:No. Each change must be checked against reliable sources and understood.

37:Students will rewrite one paragraph without the tool.

38:No. Presenting the AI’s complete paragraph as one’s own independent work is prohibited.

39:The instruction prohibits uploading personal information about classmates.

40:I will first write the English paragraph without AI assistance and check the assignment rules. AI review has not been authorised for this task, so I will not use the tool now or upload classmates’ information. If my teacher later permits grammar feedback, I will submit only approved, non-sensitive material, record each suggestion and verify its meaning before making a change. I will explain my final wording honestly and practise rewriting the paragraph without the tool. My aim is to understand and reproduce the English myself rather than to submit an unexplained AI-generated answer.
