What is … like?とHow is …?は話し手の意図によって意味が重なることもあります。テストでは「性格」「見た目」「好み」「感想」などの指定と、答えに使われている形容詞・名詞句に注目しましょう。

What is she like? は見た目を尋ねていますか？
通常は人柄・特徴を尋ねますが、文脈によって外見の説明を含むこともあります。外見そのものを明確に尋ねるならWhat does she look like?が基本です。
What does she like?との違いは？
一般動詞likeで、何が好きかを尋ねています。外見ではありません。
What is the museum like?は自然ですか？
自然です。博物館の規模・雰囲気・展示の内容など、一般的な特徴を尋ねられます。
How do you like the class?は必ず好きかどうかだけですか？
