結論｜英語の投稿を読むときの4項目

Who：発信者は誰か。When：投稿・更新の日時はいつか。What changed：場所・時刻など何が変わったか。What is not confirmed：どの情報はまだ確定していないか。The updated notice says … という形で情報源を示し、誰かの噂を確定事実として繰り返さないことが重要です。

また、ほかの人の写真や発言を共有する場合は、学校の掲載ルールと必要な許可を確認します。数字については30人に調査を依頼しても、実際の回答者が24人なら母数が異なります。英文の内容を読み取る力と、根拠を正しく説明する力を同時に育てます。

A blog draft said, ‘Most students in our school prefer reading after school.’ The teacher asked for a correction: the survey did not include every school student, and ten invited students did not answer. The revised post said, ‘Among the forty respondents, twenty-four preferred reading after school.’ The revised post was checked by the teacher and published. The teacher did not approve a claim about the preferences of the entire school.

At 9:00 a.m. on Monday, the club adviser wrote, ‘The meeting is scheduled for Thursday at 4:20 p.m., Room 205.’ At noon on Tuesday, an anonymous comment said, ‘I heard it will start at 5:20 instead.’ At 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, the adviser posted an update: ‘The meeting will still start at 4:20 p.m. on Thursday, but the room has changed to 207. Please bring the project notes.’ A student shared the anonymous comment without checking the later update. The adviser asked students to correct the message and use the official update. No other changes had been announced by the adviser. The example is fictional and does not describe any real school event.
