結論｜familiar with／familiar to／recognize／know
- 人 be familiar with＋対象：Ken is familiar with the new rules.（ケンは規則をよく知っている）。
- 物 be familiar to＋人：The name is familiar to Ken.（その名前はケンにとって聞き覚えがある）。
- recognize＋人・物：I recognized her voice.（聞き分けた・識別した）。
- know＋情報／that節：I know the date.／I know that the room is open.（情報・事実を知る）。
- know about＋話題：We know about the project.（計画について知識がある）。
- know how to＋原形：He knows how to use the app.（使い方を知る）。
familiar withとfamiliar toはどちらも既知である意味を含む場合がありますが、誰を主語にするか・何に対する理解や認識かが異なります。また建物に見覚えがあることだけで、その撮影年や撮影者まで分かるとは限りません。

初見Read｜見覚えのある建物と記録の証拠（問33〜40）
オリジナル英文：At Northlake Junior High, a student committee prepared an exhibition about local history. Mika was familiar with the school archive because she had used it for two years. A visitor showed her an old photograph of a building. The building looked familiar to Mika, but she could not remember its name. Ken recognized the shape of the entrance and said it was the old town library. The teacher checked the archive records before accepting that identification. いいえ。見覚えがあるというだけで全ての詳細を知っているとは限りません。
know how toの後ろは動名詞ですか？
いいえ。how to＋動詞原形の形です。
recognizedが出たら本人の名前も分かりますか？
