一方、意見英作文で Yes, I think so.

Westfield Library wanted to help residents who could not visit before five in the afternoon. It tested opening until seven on two weekdays. After the change, more students visited following club activities, and several working parents used the library with their children. However, staff members had to work additional hours, which increased operating costs. Some residents suggested opening later every day, but the library could not make that decision yet. Workers planned to compare visitor numbers with staffing costs over a longer period. The library also asked families to complete a short survey about which evenings were most useful. Its goal was to improve access without making working conditions unreasonable.

A library tested longer opening hours, benefiting students and working families but increasing staffing costs. It planned to compare visitor numbers and costs before deciding whether to extend hours every day.

The library decided to stay open until seven every day because the trial was free.

Do you think public libraries should stay open later?

Yes, I think public libraries should stay open later. First, students who finish club activities in the evening could still find a quiet place to study. Second, working parents might have more time to visit with their children. However, libraries need enough staff, so I would support longer hours on only a few days each week.

The library tried longer hours, and some residents visited.

A small town introduced shared bicycles near its railway station to make short trips more convenient. Residents could rent a bicycle at one parking area and return it at another. During the first month, several people said the service made it easier to reach the shopping street. However, some bicycles needed repairs, and popular parking areas sometimes had too few available bikes. Town workers moved bicycles between stations and introduced regular safety checks. They also asked residents to report damaged equipment through a website. Before expanding the program, officials wanted to compare maintenance costs with the number of trips taken. They did not claim the new service would replace every bus or car journey.

A town tested shared bicycles to make short trips easier. Some residents welcomed the service, but damaged bicycles and uneven demand required regular maintenance and better distribution between stations.

The town closed every bus route after introducing bicycles, and nobody needed repairs.

Do you think towns should offer bicycle-sharing programs?

Yes, I think towns should offer bicycle-sharing programs. First, shared bicycles can make short trips from stations easier without requiring everyone to own one. Second, using bicycles for suitable journeys may reduce some car travel. However, towns must inspect the bicycles regularly and provide enough parking areas. A carefully managed program could be useful for local residents.

Bicycles are good, and bicycles are useful, so towns need bicycles.

Teachers at a junior high school wanted to build a garden on the roof of the science building. They hoped students would learn how sunlight and water affect plant growth. At first, students suggested using ten large boxes filled with soil. A building engineer explained that wet soil could be too heavy for part of the roof. The school then planned to use four smaller containers after completing safety checks. Students suggested collecting rainwater, but teachers warned that dry weather could make the tank nearly empty. The revised project would start on a smaller scale. Teachers wanted to monitor both the plants and the building before considering a larger garden.

A school planned a rooftop garden for learning about plants. After an engineer warned about weight, it planned smaller containers and safety checks, while teachers warned that rainwater could run short.

The school installed ten large boxes immediately because rainwater solved every problem.

Do you think every school should build a garden on its roof?

No, I do not think every school should build a garden on its roof. First, some buildings may not be able to support the weight of wet soil safely. Second, students and teachers need time to water and care for the plants. Gardens can be valuable, but schools should choose suitable locations and check safety before beginning.

Plants are bad, so schools must never grow them anywhere.

A community center began offering workshops about repairing simple household items. Families could bring small chairs or boxes and learn how to check common problems. Many visitors liked the lessons because repairs could save money and reduce waste. However, some people arrived with damaged electrical devices that required specialized knowledge. Organizers explained that the volunteers could not repair every type of object safely. They placed clear rules on the workshop website and referred dangerous repairs to qualified specialists. The center also asked visitors to describe their items when registering. Organizers hoped the changes would allow the classes to continue while protecting participants from unnecessary risks.

A community center offered simple repair lessons to reduce waste and spending. However, electrical devices could be dangerous, so organizers limited activities to safe items and referred others to specialists.

The center stopped all classes because volunteers could never repair household items.

Do you think schools should teach basic repair skills?

Yes, I think schools should teach basic repair skills. First, students can learn to fix simple objects instead of throwing them away immediately. Second, practical activities may help them understand how everyday tools work. However, schools should provide clear safety rules and avoid dangerous electrical repairs. These lessons could help students become more careful and independent.

Repairing things is always safe, and students should repair all electrical devices.

A local museum wanted more visitors to understand its exhibitions without reading long and difficult signs. Staff prepared short explanations in several languages and introduced audio guides. Many people welcomed the service, especially visitors who preferred listening. However, not everyone had a smartphone that could play the recordings. The museum therefore prepared a limited number of devices to lend near the entrance. It also kept printed materials available for people who preferred reading. Staff said that different visitors needed different ways to access information. They planned to review comments after three months and change the instructions if they were confusing. The goal was better understanding rather than removing all existing forms of guidance.

A museum introduced multilingual signs and audio guides to help visitors understand exhibitions. However, some lacked suitable devices, so the museum lent equipment and kept printed explanations available.

The museum replaced every printed sign and required all visitors to buy smartphones.

Do you think museums should provide information in more than one language?

Yes, I think museums should provide information in more than one language. First, international visitors could understand the stories behind objects more easily. Second, local students learning foreign languages might use the explanations for practice. Museums do not need to translate every detail immediately, but they should offer clear information in several useful formats for different visitors.

Multilingual signs are perfect, and every visitor already understands them completely.

Two schools in different countries organized online exchanges about daily life and local traditions. During their first meeting, a few confident students spoke for most of the time, while others stayed quiet. Teachers wanted more balanced participation, so they divided students into smaller groups and provided three discussion questions before the next meeting. More students contributed ideas during the second session. However, teachers noted that the topic was different and some students had prepared more carefully. They could not prove that smaller groups alone caused the improvement. Both schools decided to continue testing different approaches while giving students opportunities to speak naturally and ask questions.

Two schools held online exchanges so students could discuss local traditions. Participation was uneven at first, so teachers introduced small groups and prepared questions while continuing to evaluate the results.

The teachers proved that smaller groups were the only reason participation improved.

Do you think students should join online exchanges with schools abroad?

Yes, I think students should join online exchanges with schools abroad. First, they can practice explaining their own culture in English and learn new expressions. Second, hearing different opinions may help them become more open-minded. Teachers should prepare simple questions and small groups so that nervous students also have chances to speak during the meetings.

Online exchanges always make every student fluent without preparation.
