英検準2級プラスのregardless of・irrespective of・no matter what・even ifは、「~にかかわらず」「たとえ~でも」を正確に読むための重要表現です。
Follow the safety rules regardless of the weather.(天気にかかわらず安全規則に従う)。 Access is available irrespective of age.(年齢にかかわらず利用できる)。
No matter what happens, stay on the marked path.(何が起きても指定路にとどまって)。 Even if it rains, the indoor class will continue.(たとえ雨でも屋内授業は続く)。
regardless ofやirrespective ofの後にthat節をそのまま続けることは通常できません。

A school conducted a survey about students’ reading habits. The teacher said that every response should be recorded regardless of whether it supported the class’s first hypothesis. However, the teacher explained that sixty percent described the respondents, not all the students who had received the survey.
