たとえば She stopped talking. は会話をやめた意味です。一方 She stopped to talk. は話すために歩行など別の行動を止めた意味です。語句の表面的な一致だけで選ばず、前後の出来事を読み取りましょう。
第2部：英文書き換え16問｜選べる知識を使える知識へ
まず原文を読み、意味を保って不定詞または動名詞を使う文に書き換えます。原文の事実を不必要に強めないよう、動詞の強さにも注意します。

説明：decide to do を使う。

前置詞のtoと不定詞のtoを混同しない

look forward to は意味で一まとまりに覚えます。I’m looking forward to meet you. ではなく、通常は I’m looking forward to meeting you. を使います。want to meet のtoとは文法上の役割が異なります。
学校英語から英検への転用
- 短文空所補充：動詞・前置詞の直後に来る形を確認する。
- 読解：remember doing と remember to do の時点を読み違えない。
- 意見英作文：簡単でも正しい構文で理由を説明する。
- 定期テスト：学校の使用教材で扱った表現を別の英文へ書き換える。

よくある質問
Q．動名詞とto不定詞を全て同じように使えますか？
いいえ。どちらか一方を取る動詞もあり、両方を取る場合でもstopやrememberなど意味が変わる表現があります。単語だけでなく文の意味を確認してください。
Q．try doingとtry to doは常に明確に違いますか？
前者は方法を試す、後者は目的の達成を試みるという違いが中心です。ただし自然な文脈では解釈が重なる場合もあり、どちらも許される文を無理に一方だけ不正解とするべきではありません。
Q．44問は英検協会が公表した問題ですか？
いいえ。慶英会が文法の弱点を補うため作成した独自問題で、公式過去問ではありません。
