Some schools provide equipment-lending services for students who want to practice creative hobbies at home. They can borrow simple cameras, art materials, or small musical instruments without buying expensive products first. Supporters say these programs may help more children try activities they could not otherwise afford. However, equipment can be damaged and schools must manage returns carefully. Teachers also need time to explain safe use. To reduce these difficulties, schools may limit borrowing periods, inspect every item, and provide short instructions before students take the equipment home.
