英検準2級プラスのEメール長文でcanceled・postponed・restoredが出てきても、施設やイベントの全体が中止されたとは限りません。「一部だけ中止」「別の活動は継続」「サービスは復旧済み」「代替便は臨時」を分ける慶英会独自4通24課題です。

対象：準2級プラスReadingのEメール内容一致で変更の対象を広げすぎる中高生。登場する施設・時刻はすべて架空で、実在の催しの案内ではありません。英検公式問題の転載ではありません。

変更通知で分ける4つの状態

英語表現意味

has been postponed延期された

24課題の解き方

  1. 変更された活動・サービスを特定する。
  2. 変更されていない予定を確認する。
  3. 4択3問を解き、状態を表にまとめる。
  4. 全体を中止扱いした誤文を直す。
  5. 英語の重要文を正確に和訳する。

独自Eメール1｜科学館の屋外実験だけ中止

Subject: Saturday program update

Saturday’s science day will take place as scheduled. However, the outdoor telescope demonstration has been canceled because strong winds are expected. The indoor chemistry talk will still begin at eleven in Room B. Guests who reserved the outdoor activity may join the indoor talk if seats remain, but their original reservation does not automatically guarantee a seat. The registration desk opens at ten thirty. We will email affected guests if any other arrangements change.

復習の着眼点

施設が営業中でも特定サービスだけ休止される場合、また予約済みでも代替活動に自動で参加できない場合があります。only / however / remains / if seats remainを確認してください。

FAQ

Q. postponedとcanceledは同じですか？

延期は実施を後の時点に移すこと、中止は予定された実施を取りやめることです。本文の条件によって次回日程が未定の場合もあります。

Q. 代替案が示されたら元の予約で必ず参加できますか？

必ずしもそうではありません。新しい活動への参加条件や追加申込が必要かを確認してください。
