英検2級の一次試験に不合格だった中高一貫校の中1・中2・中3と保護者の方へ。成績表を見て「次も同じ級を受けるべき？」「何を勉強すればいい？」と迷ったら、まずReading・Writing・Listeningのどこで、どの種類の失点が起きるかを調べます。一次試験の英検CSE合格基準は1520点ですが、合計点だけでは必要な教材を決められません。慶英会が独自に作成したReading8問、英文要約8問、意見英作文8問、Listening台本8問の合計32問と、成績表を使う14日間の立て直し方を公開します。

結論｜結果を見たら「合計点→技能別→初見問題」の順で確認

日本英語検定協会の英検CSE公式案内によれば、英検2級の一次合格基準は1520、二次のスピーキング合格基準は460です。一次ではReading・Listening・Writingの技能別スコアの合計で判定します。各技能の満点は650点。二次は別判定のため、一次試験に合格していない場合は、通常その回の二次試験へ進めません。

「あと30点＝あと何問」という換算はできません。CSEは正答数に単一の固定係数を掛ける採点方法ではなく、次回の問題の得点を確定できません。また本ページの独自32問も公式CSEと統計的な対応関係を持たず、無料の学習診断です。

CSEスコアの使い方｜差だけで次回受験日を決めない

次の3例は学習方法を考えるための完全に架空の成績例です。生徒の実績、平均点、合格予測ではありません。

点差が近くても、最適な対策は異なります。AならWritingを再点検しますが、実際の答案がないなら、要約と意見英作文を別々に書いて原因を調べます。Bなら各技能の現状を初見問題で確認します。Cのように複数技能で課題があれば、短期間の再受験よりも中学英文法やNEW TREASUREの学校範囲を整理する方が有効な場合があります。

成績表を保護者が見るときの順番

  1. 受験級・回・一次／二次の結果を確認する。英検2級を一次合格したかと、級を取得済みかは別。
  2. Reading、Writing、ListeningのCSEと合計を分けて確認する。単純な正答率比較とは違う。
  3. 答案や公式過去問で語彙・読解・要約・意見・聴解の失点原因を具体化する。数字だけで「Writingが苦手」と決めない。
  4. 学校の定期テスト・課題と重なる分野があるか確認する。学校の語順・時制・読解の弱さは英検にも影響し得る。

診断A｜Readingの8問（問1〜8）

語彙、因果、条件、対比、数量・範囲、時系列を問うオリジナル問題です。文章を読んで最も適切な選択肢を一つ選び、答えの根拠となる単語も説明してください。

ここでの失点が多い場合、単語帳を増やす前に「but・whereas・if・may・only」など、設問の正解を反転させる語が読めているか確認しましょう。

診断B｜英文要約8問・慶英会独自2題（問9〜16）

各英文は慶英会の創作です。英検2級の現行公式過去問で指定される45〜55語を目安に要約を書いてから、主題・利点・問題点・解決策の4問に答えます。原文の重要情報を残し、自分の賛否や架空の統計を足さないようにします。

独自英文1｜教材端末の貸し出し（問9〜12）

Some middle schools lend tablets to students who do not have suitable devices at home. With these tablets, students can read digital textbooks, use dictionaries, and review lessons after school. Teachers say the program may help students study more independently. However, buying and repairing the devices costs money. Students may also spend too much time on unrelated websites if clear rules are not provided. To deal with these issues, some schools lend devices for limited periods and teach students how to use online materials responsibly. They also provide technical assistance so that students can solve basic problems without losing study time.

模範答案は一例です。原文にない因果関係を作らないこと、具体例を整理して上位概念にまとめることが重要です。

独自英文2｜地域の共同菜園（問13〜16）

Community gardens are becoming popular in some towns. Residents can grow vegetables together, share gardening tips, and meet neighbors they rarely speak with. Schools sometimes visit these gardens so that students can learn about plants and local food production. Yet managing a garden is not always easy. Tools, water, and soil can be expensive, and the plants need care even during school holidays. Some groups cannot find enough people to work every week. To make the projects last longer, community leaders organize simple schedules and invite volunteers from different age groups. These efforts do not solve every problem, but they can make the work more manageable and help the gardens remain useful places for local people.

診断C｜意見英作文の添削8問（問17〜24）

現行の英検2級意見英作文は80〜100語を目安に、TOPICへの意見と理由2つを書く課題です。日本英語検定協会が公表する「内容・構成・語彙・文法」の観点を踏まえ、まずは文の修正練習を行います。

  2. I think more students will use public libraries. Firstly, the libraries are convenient. —— 理由を説明する1文を付け足す。

英作文8問の修正例・根拠
  1. Reading different books can help students learn new vocabulary and understand other people’s perspectives.。単にgoodを繰り返すのではなく、何が改善するかを具体化する。
  2. For example, students can borrow books without buying them.。便利さが何につながるか具体化。
  3. 不十分。「学校は増やすべきか」という是非に答える必要がある。。shouldとwillを区別。
  4. There are many reasons to use public transport.。複数名詞reasonsに合わせてare。
  5. It is easier for students to learn online.。比較級easierにmoreを重ねない。
  6. いいえ。例：School trips are useful because they provide new experiences.。because節だけでは主節がなく不完全。
  7. However, some families may not be able to afford the cost of these activities.。支払い可能性という一つの具体的な論点にする。
  8. I think students should read more books because reading can expand their vocabulary and help them understand different ideas.。意見を二度述べず、理由に情報を加える。

英検2級オリジナルTOPICと意見英作文の全体モデル

TOPIC：Do you think schools should offer more opportunities for students to learn outside the classroom?

慶英会モデル（90語）：I think schools should offer more opportunities for students to learn outside the classroom. First, visiting museums or local businesses can make lessons more meaningful. For example, students may understand science better after seeing an experiment at a museum. Second, these activities help students communicate with people they do not usually meet. This can improve their confidence and teamwork skills. Of course, schools need to consider costs and safety, but they can start with short visits near the school. For these reasons, I support more learning activities outside the classroom.

答案の見方：冒頭でYesの立場を示し、第1理由を学習内容の理解、第2理由を対人能力の育成と区別し、最後に結論を述べます。2つの理由が同じ意味の言い換えになっていないか点検してください。難語を詰め込むより、設問への正面回答と明確な根拠が優先です。これは公式模範答案・満点保証ではありません。

中高一貫校生の14日間立て直し｜学校英語を止めない

  1. 1〜2日目：英検成績表を確認し、Reading・Writing・ListeningのCSEと本記事32問の誤答の種類を分ける。
  2. 3〜5日目：最優先の技能を一つ選ぶ。要約が弱ければ主題・対比の整理、英作文が弱ければ理由と説明を別の初見TOPICで再現。
  3. 6〜7日目：学校のNEW TREASUREや別の指定教材から、同じ語順・時制・主語述語の弱さがないか確認する。
  4. 8〜10日目：苦手技能の初見問題を実施し、正解率だけでなく根拠を口頭で説明できるかチェック。
  5. 11〜12日目：以前に解いた練習問題と、別の新しい問題を混ぜて「暗記しただけ」の正解を排除する。
  6. 13〜14日目：公式過去問で本番の時間配分を確認。学校定期テストの時期と、次回受験に必要な準備量を照合する。

再受験の適切な時期をCSEの点差だけから機械的に決めることはできません。たとえば点差が小さくてもWritingの内容が大きく脱線していたら、答案を作り直す必要があります。逆に複数技能が弱い場合は、受験日を急がず基礎を固める選択にも合理性があります。14日は診断と復習の初期サイクルであり、14日間での合格保証ではありません。

英検2級不合格後のよくある質問

Q. 英検2級は何点差で不合格だったか確認できますか？

一次の合計CSEと1520の差を確認できます。ただし、何問増やせば届くかは単純に計算できません。

Q. 何回も同じ過去問を解けば合格しやすくなりますか？

復習に役立ちますが、答えや文章を覚えて正解しても、初見で読める・聞ける・書けることの証明にはなりません。未使用問題でも確かめます。

Q. Writingが低い場合、英作文だけ練習すればよいですか？

英検2級Writingには要約と意見英作文があるため、どちらが弱いかを別々に調べるのが先です。語彙・文法不足が原因なら学校英語の復習も必要です。

Q. 中1・中2が英検2級に不合格になったら、準2級プラスへ変更した方がよいですか？

一律には決められません。現時点の公式過去問の技能別状況、要約の完成度、定期テスト、次回受験までに確保できる時間を見て判断します。準2級プラスの受験時期と2級との違いも参考にしてください。

Q. 一次試験に不合格だった場合、二次だけ再受験できますか？

その回の一次試験不合格のみでは一次試験免除の資格を得られません。一次試験に合格した履歴がある場合の資格条件は、一次試験免除の公式ルールと解説で確認してください。
