However、yet、the study did notなどで証拠の範囲・確実性を示す。

  • Q1. A city introduced a bike-sharing program. Early records show that short car trips decreased in two neighborhoods. However, researchers caution that the observation period was brief and public transport services also changed. Further evaluation is needed before the city expands the program.
    A. The program has permanently solved traffic congestion. / B. Early results are promising but do not yet justify a universal conclusion. / C. Public transport should be abolished.
  • Q2. Some argue that digital textbooks reduce costs because schools no longer need to purchase printed copies. Yet devices, technical support, and internet access also require funding. Digital materials may be economical in some settings, but total costs should be assessed over several years.
Which statement best reflects the author’s view?
    A. Digital textbooks are always cheaper than printed books. / B. Devices and internet access have no cost. / C. Cost-effectiveness depends on the total costs over several years.
  • Q3. The research team found that participants using the new reminder system attended more appointments. The study did not include patients who lacked reliable mobile access. The authors therefore recommend a larger trial before drawing conclusions about all patients.
    A. It recommends further testing due to a limitation. / B. It confirms that every patient benefits. / C. It rejects reminder systems entirely.
  • Q4. Although automated translation can speed up routine communication, it may misinterpret specialist terms. Hospitals can benefit from translation technology, provided that important instructions are checked by qualified staff.
    A. Reject all technology. / B. Replace every interpreter. / C. Use the technology conditionally with human review.
  • Q5. A survey found that many respondents support expanding parks. The sample consisted mainly of people who already visited parks regularly. The results may therefore not represent the views of residents who rarely use them.
    A. The survey proves universal support. / B. The sample may omit less frequent users. / C. Parks were not discussed.
  • Q6. The proposal could shorten waiting times by allowing routine forms to be completed online. This benefit would be limited, however, if residents without suitable devices could not use an alternative process.
    A. Online forms always improve access. / B. Digital access is irrelevant. / C. The benefit depends on alternatives for people without devices.
  • Q7. The company reported a fall in energy use after installing new equipment. Because production also declined during the same period, the report cannot determine how much of the reduction was caused by the equipment.
    A. Yes, the report proves causation. / B. No, production changes are a competing explanation. / C. The equipment was never installed.
  • Q8. Advocates emphasize that public libraries provide access to books and online information. Critics note that maintaining small branches can be expensive. A useful assessment should compare cost with local educational needs rather than treating either view as decisive.
    A. Always close small branches. / B. Ignore financial concerns. / C. Weigh costs against local needs.
  • Q9. Several schools adopted shorter homework assignments. Students reported having more free time, but the study did not measure whether learning outcomes changed. The authors call for further research into both student well-being and academic performance.
    A. Whether learning outcomes changed. / B. Whether students reported more free time. / C. Whether homework existed.

    A. Only the number of bicycles. / B. Safety and useful route connections. / C. The intention of the policy.
  • Q11. A museum digitized rare documents, allowing researchers to view them remotely. However, online images can omit physical features and may not replace direct examination when those details matter. Digital access should therefore complement, rather than always replace, access to originals.
    A. Benefit → limitation → balanced recommendation. / B. Problem → unrelated anecdote → rejection. / C. Claim → proof that originals are unnecessary.
  • Q12. A training course increased participants’ confidence. The evaluation relied on self-reports and did not assess workplace performance. Confidence is relevant, but it should not be treated as direct proof that productivity improved.
    A. Training and education. / B. Confidence and measured productivity. / C. Work and leisure.
  • Q13. Some cities use dynamic road pricing to reduce congestion. The policy can encourage drivers to travel at different times, but its effect depends on the availability of public transport and the flexibility of commuters’ schedules.

    A. Voluntary participation may create selection bias. / B. Absenteeism increased in everyone. / C. Flexible schedules were not used.

associated with、after、reportedなどの表現をcaused、provedへ強めないでください。

  • ②however、although、therefore、yetなどの接続表現が前後の主張をどう変えるか確認する。
