| Original / Instead |
It may … の可能性と、It did …
From: Central Library Events Office To: Registered Participants Subject: Changes to Saturday’s Writing Workshop Thank you for registering for our writing workshop on Saturday, November fourteenth. Due to repair work in our main hall, the workshop will be held in Meeting Room B on the second floor. The starting time remains two o’clock, but please arrive by one forty-five to check in. You do not need to bring a laptop because printed worksheets will be supplied. However, participants should bring a pen and a notebook. If you registered for the advanced session, it will begin at four thirty instead of four. There is no extra charge for the time change. If you cannot attend, please contact our office by Thursday evening. We will send a recording of the introductory talk to registered participants after the event, but the writing activities themselves will not be recorded.
From: School Science Committee To: All Student Presenters Subject: Final Information about the Research Fair Dear presenters, our annual research fair will take place on Friday, December fourth. Your group should send the final title and a short description of your project by Monday, November thirtieth. You will present in the multipurpose hall, not in the science laboratory as previously announced. Each group has six minutes for its presentation and three minutes for questions. Please use charts only when they help explain results; complex graphs without clear labels can confuse visitors. Teachers will provide projectors and microphones, but groups must bring their own printed handouts if they plan to distribute them. Students who need a practice session may reserve a classroom for Wednesday afternoon. The fair will be open to families from one in the afternoon, although student presenters must arrive earlier for preparation.
From: City History Museum To: School Visit Coordinator Subject: Your Online Tour Booking Thank you for booking an online museum tour for your class on Tuesday, January nineteenth. The tour will begin at ten thirty and last approximately forty minutes. A museum guide will explain several historical tools and answer questions at the end. Please send up to five questions in advance by Friday, January fifteenth so the guide can prepare. Because many classes have asked about the sizes of objects, we will show measurements alongside photographs. If students wish to use our three-dimensional models, teachers need to request them separately at least one week before the session. A short technical check will start fifteen minutes before the tour. We recommend that students use speakers rather than individual headphones so teachers can pause explanations and discuss them with the class.
A coastal town began a shared-bicycle service to help visitors travel between its station, library, and museum. Users could borrow bicycles at one location and return them elsewhere. The town hoped this would reduce short car journeys and make public places easier to reach. However, the program faced an unexpected problem. During busy weekends, some stations became empty while others still had many unused bicycles. Residents complained that they could not rely on the service when they needed it most. The town therefore introduced daily inspections and moved bicycles between stations based on recent usage data. It also published maps of safe cycling routes. The service became more convenient for many users, but officials said they needed more information before deciding whether to expand it. They planned to conduct a new survey rather than claiming that the program had already reduced traffic across the entire town.
Regional museums increasingly make digital versions of historical documents available to schools. These archives help students examine photographs and records without spending time and money on long journeys. They can also protect fragile originals because fewer visitors need to handle them. Yet creating accurate digital copies requires specialized skills and careful descriptions. Some objects are difficult to understand from a single photograph, especially when viewers cannot see their actual size or texture. Museums have therefore begun working with historians to verify unclear information and creating additional materials, such as measurements and simple models. In some cases, museums encourage teachers to arrange later in-person visits. Their goal is not to replace all physical exhibitions but to make historical learning possible for more people while preserving important objects. Staff also ask teachers to report which explanations students found difficult.
A group of students surveyed thirty classmates about preferred study environments. Twelve selected the school library, ten chose a quiet room at home, and eight preferred a community study space. The group initially wrote that most students liked the library. Their teacher explained that twelve out of thirty was the largest category, but it did not represent a majority of all respondents. The students changed their presentation to say that the library was the most common answer among their thirty classmates. They also added a note that the survey did not measure actual test results or include other schools. The experience helped them understand that accurate reporting requires clear numbers and careful language. They later planned to repeat the survey with a larger group and ask more detailed questions about study habits.

| N:Not stated |
