② FalseとNot Givenを混同する
③ all・most・only・mayなどの限定を読み飛ばす
On Wednesday afternoon, Class 2B held a book swap in the art room. Students could bring up to two books, but bringing a book was not necessary to join. The event began at 3:20 and ended at 4:00. Haruka, a volunteer, put mystery stories on one table and science books on another. She also helped visitors find books for younger readers. After the event, seven books remained. The students planned to ask their owners for permission before giving the remaining books to a community reading center. Some classmates wanted to organize another swap next month, but the teacher said they should first ask whether the art room would be available. No one sold books at the event; students could take a book home for free.

A science club compared two sets of small bean plants. Both sets received the same kind of soil and the same amount of water. Set A was placed near a sunny window, while Set B was placed on a shelf that received less sunlight. The students measured the height of the plants after ten days. The average height of Set A was eight centimeters, and the average height of Set B was five centimeters. A student said that sunlight must be the only reason for the difference. The teacher disagreed and explained that the group had not measured the room temperature or tested many plants. The class decided to repeat the experiment with more plants. They also planned to keep a careful record of the temperature. The students did not use chemical fertilizer in either set.

Hana borrowed a small camera from her grandfather for an art project. She wanted to take pictures of the evening sky, but the camera battery stopped working before sunset. Her friend Mei offered to lend her a charger, but Hana did not have enough time to wait. Instead, she took photographs of shadows in the school garden the next morning. She noticed that the shadows changed when the sunlight moved across the ground. For the project, Hana selected three photographs and wrote a short English explanation about how light changed the shapes. The teacher praised her careful observation. Hana did not receive first prize in the class exhibition, but the teacher gave her a special mention for explaining her idea clearly. Hana returned the camera to her grandfather the following weekend.

A class asked eighty students to choose a place for an autumn trip. Thirty-two students chose the science museum, twenty-eight chose the zoo, and twenty chose the city park. The science museum received the largest number of votes, but it did not receive more than half of the total votes. The museum was forty minutes away by train, while the zoo was ninety minutes away by bus. Some students preferred the zoo because they wanted to learn about animals. Others liked the museum because it offered indoor experiments even on rainy days. The class decided to visit the museum and arrange a short experiment workshop there. The teacher said the result was not proof that everyone preferred the museum. The group agreed to collect feedback after the trip, but it had not chosen the date of the feedback survey.
