①There isとThere areで単数・複数を合わせる

There is a desk next to the window.（窓の隣に机が一つあります）とThere are two chairs near the door.（扉の近くに椅子が二脚あります）では、家具の数に応じてis/areが変わります。日本語で位置を考えたら、英語で何個あるかも確認してください。

②前置詞の位置情報を正確に

on（上に）、under（下に）、next to（隣に）、between（間に）、in front of（前に）、against the wall（壁に接して）などの位置関係を使います。on the wallとnear the wallでは配置が違います。

③比較級で選択理由を明確に

A quiet room is more useful to me than a noisy room.（静かな部屋は騒がしい部屋より役立ちます）のように、何と何を比較するのかを示します。bigger、quieter、saferの変化に注意してください。

④because・so thatで配置の理由を説明する
