Original passage
Many schools have begun keeping their libraries open for an hour after classes. Supporters say that students who share rooms or have noisy homes need a quiet place to read and finish homework. A librarian can also help them find reliable sources instead of relying only on quick internet searches. However, extending opening hours requires staff, electricity, and a clear plan for supervision. If too many students use the same room, group discussions may disturb those who need silence. Schools are considering separate areas for individual study and teamwork. Before extending the service every day, they should record attendance and ask students which hours are most useful.

Original passage
Some cities provide bicycle-sharing stations near train stops, shopping streets, and offices. People can unlock a bike for a short trip and leave it at another station, so they do not need to own or store one. This can make travel between a station and a workplace easier and may reduce short car journeys. Yet a program works only if bicycles are safe and stations are convenient. Bikes left in poor condition create risks, while neighborhoods without stations receive little benefit. Cities also need protected routes so riders can travel safely. Before adding more bikes, officials should study travel patterns, repair reports, and requests from residents in underserved areas.

C. Travel patterns, repair reports, and local requests
D. The history of every bicycle brand
Original passage
Museums offer online tours for people who live far away, have limited mobility, or cannot visit during opening hours. A website can show close-up images of objects and provide explanations in several languages. Teachers may use a short tour before a class discussion, allowing students to prepare questions in advance. However, a screen cannot fully reproduce the size, texture, or atmosphere of an object in a real gallery. Long online sessions can also make visitors tired. Museums should therefore treat digital tours as an additional way to learn, not a complete replacement for visiting. Short sessions, captions, and links to related materials can make them more accessible.

Original passage
Community gardens have become popular in some neighborhoods. Residents can grow vegetables, learn how food changes from seed to harvest, and share tools. Working together may also help neighbors who rarely meet to build trust. Still, a garden does not run itself. Someone must arrange watering, repair fences, remove weeds, and decide how to share harvests. If duties are unclear, a few volunteers may do most of the work and quit. Land may also be scarce in crowded areas. Organizers should start with a small plot, write simple rules, and agree on a weekly schedule before inviting more participants.

Original passage
Some cafes let customers borrow reusable cups instead of taking disposable ones. A deposit may encourage customers to return the cups, and the system can reduce waste when cups are washed and used many times. However, cups must be collected, transported, and cleaned, which requires water, energy, and staff time. Customers may also forget to return them. A cafe should explain where and when cups can be returned, keep enough clean cups available, and check how many are lost. Before claiming success, it should compare the waste from reusable cups with the resources needed to run the system.

Original passage
AI language apps can give learners short practice tasks and immediate feedback. Some apps adjust questions to a user’s level and help students review words they often forget. This may be useful when a teacher is not available. However, an app can explain a rule incorrectly or misunderstand a sentence. Users may also enter names, school information, or other personal details without thinking about privacy. If learners copy every answer, they may finish quickly but learn little. Students should check important corrections with reliable sources, avoid entering private information, and use apps alongside reading, speaking, and feedback from a teacher.

Original passage
Many transport companies now provide apps that show expected bus and train arrival times. Passengers can plan when to leave home and may choose another route if a service is delayed. This can reduce uncertainty, especially when people need to reach work or an appointment on time. Yet the information depends on accurate data, and sudden accidents or bad weather can make an estimate wrong. Some passengers do not own smartphones or have stable internet access. Transport providers should update information quickly and keep station displays and public announcements clear. Digital tools are most useful when people still have another way to get information.

Original passage
School uniforms can make it easier for students to prepare in the morning and may reduce pressure to wear fashionable clothes. A common outfit can also create a sense of belonging. However, uniforms may cost a lot, feel uncomfortable in hot or cold weather, or need replacing as students grow. Families can face extra costs if special items are difficult to find. Schools should choose durable materials, consider exchanges for used uniforms, and allow practical options for different seasons and activities. These steps can preserve the advantages of a uniform while making the system more affordable and comfortable.
