|---|---|---|
| Short alt text |
| Long description |
| Data table |
| Limitation / note |
Hypothetical visual description: Imagine a bar chart showing recorded attendance events at three fictional lunchtime reading sessions: Monday 20, Wednesday 25 and Friday 15. Each bar starts at zero. Attendance events are counted, so the same person may contribute more than one record over the week. The graph does not measure unique students, reading improvement or reasons for attendance. A separate data table displays all three values.
| Session | Recorded attendances |
|---|---|
| Monday | 20 |
| Wednesday | 25 |
| Friday | 15 |
問1:What type of graph is being described?
問2:Write a concise English alt text identifying the graph.
問3:Give a suitable short alt text if a complete data table follows immediately.
問4:What should the vertical-axis label say?
問5:Which session has the highest bar?
問6:Which session has the lowest bar?
問7:Calculate the difference between the highest and lowest values.
問8:Can the description call these 60 different students?
問9:Correct an exaggerated description saying ‘The reading club improved English ability’.
問10:Write a detailed text alternative suitable for readers who cannot view the graph.
Hypothetical visual description: Imagine a line graph of a fictional school’s library transactions with a horizontal axis accurately spaced by elapsed days: Day 1 = 10 transactions, Day 3 = 14 and Day 10 = 17. There were no observations on the days between these points. The chart is intended to show three recorded observations, not a proven steady daily trend. A linked data table lists the day and count.
| Observation day | Transactions |
|---|---|
| Day 1 | 10 |
| Day 3 | 14 |
| Day 10 | 17 |
問11:Identify the chart type and horizontal-axis unit.
問12:Write a brief English alt text.
問13:State an alt text that points to the detailed table.
問14:How many days separate the first two observations?
問15:How many days separate the next two observations?
問16:Describe the recorded change between Days 1 and 3.
問17:Describe the change between Days 3 and 10.
問18:May the text alternative claim the count rose every single day?
問19:What axis mistake should a description avoid?
問20:Write a full accessible description.
Hypothetical visual description: Imagine a pie chart illustrating a fictional single-choice survey of 50 respondents. Twenty-four chose printed notices, sixteen chose digital notices and ten chose both formats. Each respondent selected exactly one option. Therefore the shares are 48 percent, 32 percent and 20 percent, summing to 100 percent. The sample is voluntary and does not establish the preferences of every student. A text table of counts and shares is provided below the visual.
| Preference | Respondents | Share |
|---|---|---|
| Printed notices | 24 | 48% |
| Digital notices | 16 | 32% |
| Both formats | 10 | 20% |
問21:Why is a pie chart potentially suitable for these data?
問22:Write a short alt text with the essential comparison.
問23:Give a short alternative when a complete data table is adjacent.
問24:How many respondents selected printed notices?
問25:How many selected digital notices?
問26:Calculate the share choosing both formats.
問27:Do the shares sum to exactly 100 percent?
問28:Can we conclude that forty-eight percent of every student preferred print?
問29:Would this same pie chart work if each person could choose several options?
問30:Write a complete text description of the hypothetical chart.
Hypothetical visual description: Imagine a flowchart for a fictional school workshop. The first decision is ‘Was the form submitted by Tuesday at noon?’ If No, the result is ‘Late; contact the office’. If Yes, a second decision asks ‘Has the school sent confirmation?’ If Yes, the result is ‘Confirmed; attend Friday at 4 p.m.’. If No, the result is ‘Awaiting confirmation; contact the office on Thursday morning’. The chart does not say that submitting a form automatically guarantees attendance. This is an exercise scenario, not the actual school’s application policy.
| First decision | Second decision | Outcome |
|---|---|---|
| Submitted late | Not reached | Late; contact office |
| Submitted on time | Confirmation sent | Confirmed; attend Friday 4 p.m. |
| Submitted on time | No confirmation | Awaiting; contact office Thursday morning |
問31:What kind of complex visual is described?
問32:Write a concise alt text identifying the purpose.
問33:Write a short alt text that directs users to a full description.
問34:What is the first yes-or-no question?
問35:What happens when the first answer is No?
問36:What is the second decision asked of on-time applicants?
問37:What is the path for an on-time confirmed participant?
問38:What should an on-time applicant without confirmation do?
問39:Can the visual’s description say that everyone who applies is accepted?
問40:Write a long text alternative for the full flowchart.
1:A bar chart compares recorded attendances at three lunchtime reading sessions.
2:Bar chart of reading-club attendances: Monday 20, Wednesday 25, Friday 15.
3:Bar chart comparing attendance records for three reading sessions; full values follow in a table.
4:Recorded attendance events (count).
5:Wednesday has the highest bar, with 25 attendance records.
6:Friday has the lowest bar, with 15 records.
7:The highest exceeds the lowest by 10 attendance events.
8:No. The total of 60 counts attendance events, not unique students.
9:The chart reports attendance counts and does not measure improvement in English ability.
10:The bar chart compares recorded attendance events at three optional lunchtime reading sessions. The values are 20 for Monday, 25 for Wednesday and 15 for Friday. Wednesday is the highest, Friday the lowest, and the difference is 10 records. The vertical axis shows attendance events, not different students. The three sessions total 60 recorded attendances, but repeat visitors could be counted more than once. The chart provides no information about reading achievement or the reasons students attended. The same values are available in the accompanying data table.
11:It is a line chart with elapsed days on the horizontal axis.
12:Line graph of library transactions: 10 on Day 1, 14 on Day 3 and 17 on Day 10.
13:Line graph of three recorded library transaction counts, detailed in the adjacent table.
14:The first interval is two days.
15:The second interval is seven days.
16:The count rose from 10 to 14, an increase of four records.
17:The count rose from 14 to 17, an increase of three records.
18:No. The chart does not provide measurements for the intervening days.
19:It should not imply that the two-day and seven-day gaps are equal.
20:This line graph reports three observations of fictional library transactions over ten days. The recorded counts are 10 on Day 1, 14 on Day 3 and 17 on Day 10. The horizontal axis reflects elapsed days, so the gaps between observed points are two days and seven days. The count increased by four between the first two observations and by three between the later pair. The intervening daily counts were not recorded, so the line must not be interpreted as evidence of a steady daily increase. A separate table presents the same three values.
21:The three response categories are mutually exclusive and together cover all fifty respondents.
22:Pie chart of 50 survey responses: printed 48%, digital 32% and both 20%.
23:Pie chart of preferences for notice formats; the adjacent table gives all values.
24:Twenty-four respondents selected printed notices.
25:Sixteen respondents selected digital notices.
26:Ten of fifty, or 20 percent, chose both formats.
27:Yes. Forty-eight plus thirty-two plus twenty equals one hundred.
28:No. The figure refers to fifty voluntary respondents, not the entire school.
29:Not as mutually exclusive slices; overlapping choices would need a different presentation.
30:The pie chart divides the fifty respondents to a single-choice survey into three non-overlapping categories. Printed notices were chosen by twenty-four people, representing 48 percent; digital notices by sixteen, or 32 percent; and both formats by ten, or 20 percent. Printed notices make up the largest sector, and the shares total 100 percent. These figures describe the preferences of the participating respondents only. The survey did not establish what all students at the school prefer. The adjacent table repeats the counts and percentages in text form.
31:A flowchart with two sequential yes-or-no decisions.
32:Flowchart of workshop registration, confirmation and next steps for on-time or late forms.
33:Workshop registration decision flow; its steps and outcomes are described in text below.
34:Was the form submitted by Tuesday at noon?
35:The form is late, and the student should contact the office.
36:Has the school sent a confirmation?
37:Submit by the deadline, receive confirmation, then attend Friday at 4 p.m.
38:Remain awaiting confirmation and contact the office on Thursday morning.
39:No. Submission and school confirmation are separate decisions.
40:The flowchart describes a fictional workshop application with two decisions. First, it asks whether the form was submitted by Tuesday at noon. A late submission leads to an instruction to contact the office. A timely submission leads to a second check: whether the school has sent a confirmation. Confirmed applicants are directed to attend on Friday at 4 p.m.; applicants without confirmation remain pending and should ask the office on Thursday morning. The steps do not promise acceptance merely because the form was submitted. The accompanying table lists all three paths in text.
