|---|---|---|
| Would you mind+-ing? | 相手に動作を頼む | Would you mind checking the chart? |
| Do you mind+-ing? | 相手に動作を頼む(wouldより直接的) | Do you mind opening the window? |
| Do you mind if I+現在形? | 自分の動作の許可 | Do you mind if I sit here? |
| Would you mind if I+過去形? | 控えめに許可を求める | Would you mind if I used this desk? |
| Would you mind not+-ing? | 相手に控えてもらう | Would you mind not talking so loudly? |
| Do you mind me+-ing? | 自分の行動に対する許可 | Do you mind me borrowing the pen? |
Cambridge GrammarではWould you mind+-ingを丁寧な依頼、Would you mind if I+過去形/Do you mind if I+現在形を許可を求める典型的な形として解説しています。Cambridge Grammar|Mind。 Would you mind if I+現在形も使われますが、学校の基本的な書き換えでは過去形の型を理解しておくと役立ちます。
No, not at all.
|---|---|---|
| Do you mind if I sit here? | No, not at all. |
| Would you mind if I used your pen? | No, go ahead. | |
| Would you mind opening the door? | Not at all. |
| Would you mind if I used your laptop? | I’m afraid I need it right now.
No, I don’t mind.
Would you mind if I used this desk?

FAQ|Would you mind
Would you mind to open
通常はWould you mind opening …?
Would you mind if I usedは過去形なのに未来の許可を尋ねるのですか?
Do you mind if I sat here?
Do you mind if I sit here?
No, not at allは断りですか?
Do/Would you mind …?
I’m afraid I need it right now.
