結論:NEW TREASURE(ニュートレジャー)Stage 2のReadや英語長文で内容一致問題を間違えるときは、True(本文と一致)・False(本文と矛盾)・Not Given(本文に根拠がない)を明確に区別してください。

True・False・Not Givenを見分ける基準

The meeting was moved to Friday.

not yet・had not decided・did not measure は未決定・未測定を表します。before/after/by は時系列を決めます。

1|A New School Notice Board(169語)

At Green Park Junior School, some students missed club announcements because the old notice board was hidden behind tall plants. In April, the student council moved the board next to the main entrance. The group prepared short announcements in both Japanese and English. One student checked the board each Monday and replaced notices that were no longer current.

After four weeks, the council invited students to answer a voluntary survey. Thirty-eight students responded. Twenty-six said that the new board was easier to use, eight noticed no difference, and four still found it difficult. The survey did not ask respondents for their ages. The school also did not measure how many club meetings students missed before and after the change.

Several students suggested adding audio announcements, but the council had not decided whether to do that. No cost estimate for an audio system was included in the report. The council said the board was a useful first step, but it did not claim that communication problems had been completely solved.

2|A Seed Swap for the Neighborhood(178語)

Students at Valley School prepared eighty packets of seeds for a community swap. Fifty packets contained flower seeds and thirty contained herb seeds. The group wrote simple growing instructions in Japanese and English and placed the packets on two tables at the community center. Each visitor could take up to two packets without paying. The students wanted to share gardening ideas rather than earn money.

Nineteen visitors came on Saturday morning, and twenty-three seed packets were taken. Visitors were welcome to return unused packets later, but returning them was not required. A local gardener answered questions and suggested ways to water the seeds, but the group did not test how many of the seeds would actually grow. The students only recorded the number of packets taken.

The follow-up meeting was originally scheduled for Thursday. Because the community center needed the room for another activity, the meeting was moved to Friday. The students did not publish the ages of visitors or the total cost of preparing the packets. They planned to ask participants for feedback at the next meeting.

  • Q11. The students prepared eighty seed packets.

  • Q18. Every visitor lived within one kilometer of the community center.
  • Q19. The packets cost 3,000 yen to prepare.
  • Q20. Most visitors were younger than thirteen.

長文3|English Labels for an Energy Exhibition(180語)

North Hill School planned a bilingual exhibition about energy use. Eleven students worked in three teams. Four students wrote simple English labels, three prepared illustrations, and four checked whether the explanations were clear. A teacher reviewed six labels and approved five of them at the first review. The sixth label needed a correction because it described a scientific process inaccurately.

By Friday, only three of the approved labels had been printed. The other two were printed on Monday, and the exhibition opened on Tuesday. At the entrance, visitors could pick up a short guide showing where the displays were located. The school counted seventy visitors during the event. However, it did not collect a questionnaire about what visitors had learned or how much they enjoyed the exhibition.

After the event, the teacher suggested improving the explanations for younger visitors. The report did not mention whether families or teachers formed the largest group of visitors. The school also did not measure changes in its electricity use after the exhibition. The students planned to use the same checking process for future displays.

  • Q21. Eleven students worked on the exhibition.

  • Q27. The school collected a visitor-learning questionnaire.
  • Q28. Visitors saved electricity at home after the exhibition.
  • Q29. Families formed the largest category of visitors.
  • Q30. The school’s electricity consumption fell by ten percent.

False
