- 数値:twelve meters、fourteen meters、eighteen out of twentyなど、何を数えているかまで確認する。
- 比較:shorter、on average、the sameなど、最大値と平均値を混同しない。

During an imaginary science project, a class makes a simple model of the Earth, the Moon, and a satellite. The teacher explains that a satellite is an object that travels around a larger object. Some artificial satellites help people observe weather or communicate over long distances. The class is careful not to claim that every satellite performs the same job. One student writes that the Moon is a natural satellite of Earth, while a machine launched into space can be an artificial satellite. The teacher asks the group to explain the difference using simple English, not difficult words copied from a website. The group prepares two short sentences and checks the meaning of each one before giving a presentation.

For a fictional classroom demonstration, two paper rockets are launched using the same safe classroom device under a teacher’s supervision. Rocket A travels twelve meters in the first trial and fourteen meters in the second. Rocket B travels thirteen meters in both trials. One student says Rocket A is always better because fourteen is the largest distance. Another student points out that the average distance for both rockets is thirteen meters. The students realize that choosing only the largest result can hide important information. They decide to repeat the activity more times and record the launch conditions. The teacher reminds them that a paper model in a classroom cannot explain every factor involved in a real rocket launch.

An imaginary technology club discusses possible uses of small drones. A student suggests that a drone might help inspect a hard-to-reach place by carrying a camera. Another student says it could also help people observe a landscape from above. The teacher asks them to consider safety, weather, permission, and privacy before discussing any real flight. The class does not fly a drone. Instead, it draws a diagram and compares two possible routes on paper. Route A is shorter but passes close to a crowded area. Route B is longer but avoids that area. The teacher says that a shorter route is not always the best choice. The students write questions they would need to answer before any actual operation.

During an imaginary lesson about artificial intelligence, a class uses a simple computer program to sort pictures of plants into two groups. The program labels eighteen pictures correctly and makes two mistakes. One student reports that the program is perfect because most answers are correct. Her classmate says that eighteen out of twenty is not the same as all twenty. The teacher asks students to examine the two errors and to describe the situations in which the program might fail. The class notices that some pictures are dark or unclear. Students write a report explaining the result and its limits. They learn that a useful tool still needs careful checking and that a single test cannot prove the program works in every situation.
