英検2級リスニング第2部の説明文では、登録者数、実際の参加者数、アンケート回答者数、利用の合計回数を混同しないことが大切です。本記事では慶英会独自の4説明文24問と全台本・全文和訳・詳しい根拠を掲載します。録音音声は付属しません。数字はすべて架空の練習用データです。

結論｜何人のうち何人かを聞き取る

“eighteen of thirty respondents”は回答者30人のうち18人という意味です。登録者全体の割合としては答えられません。会話・説明文では異なる人数を表にまとめ、数字の前後の名詞を聞く練習が有効です。

図書館での読書行事

Good afternoon. Here is a short report about our library’s reading event. Sixty people reserved seats, but only forty-two actually came. After the event, we asked attendees to complete a survey. Thirty people responded, and eighteen of those respondents wanted more evening events. Please remember that this does not mean eighteen out of all sixty people who registered preferred evening meetings. We also counted how many books visitors borrowed, but we have not checked whether the event improved their reading skills. The library is considering another event next term. However, the date and room have not been confirmed. We will share the final details on the library website when they are available.
