  • 列挙→上位概念:a pot, a rice cooker, and a baking tray → cooking equipment。
  • 細部→効果:twelve chairs and a lamp → a place to rest。

A children’s museum recently started adding QR codes beside some of its exhibits. Visitors can scan the codes and read short descriptions in several languages. For example, a visitor may choose Japanese, English, or Korean when learning about an old fishing boat. This means families who speak different languages can understand the same exhibition more easily.

The system also allows museum workers to correct information without printing every sign again. If an explanation changes, staff can update the text on the museum website.

However, not everyone has a smartphone, and some visitors prefer reading printed signs. The museum therefore keeps a basic paper explanation beside each exhibit.

解答例:museum explanations using QR codes。

解答例:explanations in several languages。

Japanese, English, or Korean / an old fishing boat。

解答例:some visitors cannot or prefer not to use smartphones。

All visitors have smartphones.。

Some museums use QR codes to offer explanations in several languages, helping visitors understand exhibits. However, people without smartphones may struggle, so printed information is still needed.

誤りの例:All visitors have smartphones.

A class decided to start a small book exchange so that students could read different kinds of stories without buying more books. One student brought adventure novels, while another brought a cookbook written for children. The teacher placed all the books on two shelves near the classroom door.

Students could borrow books for two weeks and recommend their favorite titles on a noticeboard. Some students who rarely visited the library began reading more often because the books were easy to borrow.

However, the class soon noticed that a few books were being returned late. To solve this problem, the teacher prepared a simple borrowing record and asked students to check it when taking a book home.

解答例:a classroom book exchange。

誤りの例:Every student became a frequent reader.

A small railway station opened a quiet waiting room for passengers who needed a place to sit when trains were delayed. It had twelve chairs, a reading lamp, and a small table for written information. A passenger waiting for a late evening train could rest there instead of standing outside on a cold platform.

Some local residents welcomed the room because older passengers could wait more comfortably. The station also posted train updates near the door so people did not have to leave the room to check every change.

However, the waiting room required extra cleaning and supervision. The railway company needed to consider these costs before deciding whether to keep the room open every evening.

The room cost nothing to operate.

A neighborhood group invited residents to share short notes about birds they saw in the local park. Children wrote about sparrows and ducks, and some adults added sketches of birds near the pond. The notes were collected on a simple community website so visitors could compare what people had seen in different seasons.

The project encouraged families to look more carefully at local wildlife. Teachers could also use the reports as examples when introducing students to observation and record keeping.

However, not every report was correct. Sometimes people identified the wrong species or recorded the wrong date. The organizers decided to check unusual records before showing them publicly.

誤りの例:Every report was accurate.

Once a month, a community center holds a toy repair event where volunteers help families fix broken toys. They sometimes replace a wheel on a toy car or repair a loose wire in a battery-powered model. Families can watch the work and learn simple ways to care for their belongings.

The event allows some children to keep using toys they enjoy. It may also reduce waste because fewer repairable products are thrown away.

However, not every toy can be repaired safely. Volunteers need to inspect each item and explain when a repair would be dangerous. The center does not allow children to handle electrical equipment during repairs.

Every toy can be safely repaired.

A community center created a small lending service for cooking equipment. Residents can borrow items such as a large soup pot, a rice cooker, or a baking tray for a weekend. This is helpful for people who only need certain equipment for special meals and do not want to store many tools at home.

The center also provides simple instructions so beginners can learn how to use borrowed items safely. Some residents share recipes after trying a new dish.

However, lending cooking equipment requires careful cleaning and inspections. Workers need to make sure every item is returned in good condition and is ready for the next person to use.
