英検準2級プラスの長文内容一致問題では、「ありそうなこと」と「本文に書いてあること」を区別するのが重要です。本文に事実が書かれていないのに、常識で穴を埋めると誤答します。慶英会が独自制作した4長文・24課題で、「明示」「矛盾」「不明」を分類し、4択で根拠を確かめましょう。

対象：英検準2級に合格済みの中高一貫校生・高校生、準2級プラスのReadingで選択肢を2つに絞った後に迷う受験者。英検公式の出題形式では、Readingの短文空所補充17問、長文空所補充6問、内容一致8問です。本記事の「明示・矛盾・本文にない」という判定課題は慶英会独自の補助練習であり、実際の設問構成を再現したものではありません。

例文：The committee may open a second classroom next year.（委員会は来年2つ目の教室を開くかもしれない。）これを「来年必ず開く」と読んではいけません。また「開かない」とも断定できません。may・some・if・after・before・onlyなどが選択肢とのずれを生むことがあります。

使い方｜初見で解く→原文の根拠に線→和訳→解答解説

1. 各英文を一度だけ読み、4択4問と判定2問に答える。
2. 答えが書かれた本文の一文を必ず選ぶ。根拠がない場合は「本文にない」にする。
3. 全訳で意味を確認し、間違えた原因を「人物／時点／条件／確定度／本文外の推測」に分類する。
4. 同じ英文を翌日読み直すときは、選択肢の言い換え部分だけを説明できるか確認する。

独自長文1｜図書館のボランティア募集｜応募・選考・実施・次回予定

Last spring, Brookfield Library invited high school students to help organize a weekend reading event. Twenty students applied, but only eight were chosen because the library had a limited number of supervisors. Although some students requested a second station near the classrooms, the principal said no decision would be made until the results were reviewed.
