英検準2級プラスのリスニングでは、not until・unless・except・neither・only after・at least・not all などの否定・例外・条件を聞き落とすと、音声に出てきた数字や場所を正反対に解釈してしまいます。慶英会では、会話8題＋説明文8題、オリジナル16問・全64選択肢の根拠解説・読み上げ台本を収録しました。聞き取った英語を正しい条件に置き換えられるかを確認する教材です。

否定の一語だけに注意するのではなく、何を否定し、どこに例外があり、条件が成立した場合に何が起きるかを整理します。例えば Unless it stops raining, the event will be indoors. は「雨がやまなければ屋内」です。

台本2｜持ち物の例外
Boy: Did you see the message about the science workshop? Girl: Yes. The school provides all the equipment except notebooks. We have to bring those ourselves. Boy: Should I bring my own ruler and safety glasses? Girl: No, both will be there. The only thing you need is a notebook.

Organizers realized that the time might be difficult for people who worked late the previous evening. They planned a new class on Saturday afternoon rather than canceling the program completely.

A local museum is offering small-group workshops for children. To keep the rooms comfortable, each registration may include no more than four children. 同じ単語を聞き取っても間違える4つの原因

問題を解いた後は、誤った問題の台本で条件を含む5〜12語を抜き出し、短い日本語と英文の両方で言い換えてください。たとえば The event will not begin before two. なら It starts at two or later. と理解できますが、実際の開始時刻を示す他の情報も確認します。
