結論｜間接疑問文は原則「疑問詞＋主語＋動詞」
- Where is the museum? → Could you tell me where the museum is?
- When does the bus leave? → Do you know when the bus leaves?
- Will the event continue? → I wonder whether the event will continue.
- What time does it start? → Please tell me what time it starts.
- whether to do：～するかどうかを決める。We have not decided whether to apply.
- Who answered the question? のwhoが主語のときは who answered の語順を保つ。
「Could you tell me …?」全体は疑問文でも、埋め込まれた部分はwhere the museum isという平叙文の語順です。疑問文の形をそのまま入れないようにします。なお、whetherとifは「～かどうか」の意味で交替できる場面もありますが、whether to doなどwhetherが必要な形があります。

復習｜直接疑問文を言い換える
- Where is it? を Could you tell me where it is? にする。

- whether to + 動詞原形で参加・申請の判断を表す。
- 間接疑問文の中でdo / does / didを無条件に残さない。
- 翌日と一週間後に全40問を復習し、語順だけでなく本文の条件を確認する。
FAQ
Could you tell me where is it? は正しいですか？
通常の間接疑問文では誤りです。Could you tell me where it is? と主語・動詞の順にします。
whetherとifは同じですか？
「～かどうか」の意味で置き換えられる場面がありますが、whether to doのようにwhetherを使う形もあります。
whoが主語でも語順を変えますか？
Who called you? のwhoは主語なので、I wonder who called you. のように同じ語順となります。
