In many communities, people throw away small electrical devices when they stop working. Some local groups have started repair events where volunteers help residents fix simple problems. These events may reduce waste and allow people to learn practical skills. However, not every product can be repaired safely by volunteers.
At one event, visitors brought broken lamps, fans, and other household items. Volunteers examined each device before starting work. They repaired some items immediately, but they advised owners to take others to qualified professionals. The organizers did not claim that all devices could be saved. Instead, they collected information about which repairs were successful and why some items could not be fixed.

It also learned that providing clear safety instructions required more time than expected. The group planned to improve its training materials before expanding the program.

Several schools now provide short online lessons for students who miss classes because of illness or other reasons. Students can watch recorded explanations and review important points at home. This may help them return to school with fewer gaps in their understanding. However, recordings cannot answer every question a student has. Teachers also need time to prepare clear materials. Some schools therefore combine short videos with weekly online question sessions. This allows students to ask about difficult points while keeping most of the lessons available whenever they need them.

QUESTION:Do you think schools should teach students how to check whether information on the Internet is reliable?
I think schools should teach students how to check online information. First, students often use websites for homework, so they need to recognize unclear or misleading claims. Second, comparing different sources helps them make better decisions outside school. Teachers can use simple examples from everyday life to make these lessons practical and easy to understand.(55語) 理由1=学習時の誤情報回避、理由2=校外での意思決定に役立つこと。
