We estimated the cost at 20,000 yen.(費用を2万円と見積もった)。 Scientists predict that temperatures will rise.(科学者は気温上昇を予測している)。
The service forecasts heavy rain.(そのサービスは大雨を予報する)。 We expect the train to arrive at six.(列車は6時に到着する見込みだ)。expect A to doの語順も重要です。

The students set up thermometers in two rooms, but the rooms were not identical. After three weeks, the shaded room was usually cooler in the afternoon.
A town council was considering a new weekend bus service. Researchers forecast approximately 500 passenger trips per month based on an earlier survey, but this number was only an estimate. During a four-week trial, the bus carried 420 passenger trips. A passenger trip is not the same as one unique person, since the same person might take several trips. The council will compare the operating cost with the fare income before deciding whether to continue the service. Some residents expect the new route to help people reach the hospital, but the trial has not measured changes in medical appointments.
問29|How many passenger trips were forecast per month?
A. Exactly 420 / B. About 500 / C. At least 1,000 / D. Only 80

The library director said the registration forecast was useful for planning, but it did not tell the staff how many people would actually arrive. The library is collecting feedback from attendees and has not yet decided whether a third session will be added next month.

Students at a school farm used last year’s records to predict the number of tomatoes they might harvest. They expected 120 tomatoes from six planting boxes.
B. Different amounts of sunlight
根拠:Some boxes had received less sunlight。
