結論｜英検準2級の手順説明では、最初の申請と最後の確定は違う

英検準2級の長文で申込・提出・承認・実施の順序が分からなくなる原因は、手順を一つの出来事として読んでしまうことです。 request（申請）、check（確認）、approve（承認）、collect（受取）、return（返却）は別段階です。とくに before / after / until / once / only after / otherwise がある英文では、「何をする前に何が必要か」を必ず確認します。

手順を読む6つの重要表現

実際の演習では、最初に手順を『①条件確認→②申請→③承認→④実施→⑤報告・返却』という矢印で整理します。すべての案内が同じ5段階とは限りません。本文に書かれている段階だけをつなぎ、架空の条件を補わないことが重要です。

Students at West Bay School are preparing a digital newspaper. Writers must send their articles to the editor by the tenth of each month. よくある質問

Q. Submitted と Approved は同じ意味ですか？

違います。submittedは提出済み、approvedは承認済みです。申込フォームを送った段階で席や貸出が確定したと読まないようにします。

Q. until approved は承認した後という意味ですか？

until approvedの構文では『承認されるまで』という時間の境界が示されます。たとえば cannot use it until approved は、承認前には使用できないという意味です。

Q. 申請に失敗したら自動的に再申請できますか？

一律に決まりません。再申請や期限延長などの手続は案内ごとに異なります。本文にないことは推測せず、明示された条件から答えます。
