英検協会の4級公式試験内容では日本文付き語句整序が5問出題されます。本記事は慶英会が独自に作成した追加の練習問題で、公式過去問や公認問題ではありません。練習用として5語句の中に複数の単語をまとめた語句も含みます。
並べ替え問題で失点しないための3段階
まず日本語から「誰が・何を・どうする」を確かめ、助動詞・時制・疑問文の語順を考えます。次に5つの語句をすべて並べた完成英文を作り、最後に2番目・4番目に置いた語句だけを選択肢から探します。選択肢を見て勘で選ぶより、英文の語順を再現できるようになります。
48問の取り組み方
各分野8問、全6分野です。まず答えを見ずに16問ずつ解き、間違えた番号と原因をメモします。次に解答・解説を読んで同じ英文を紙に書き、翌日また選択肢を隠して並べ直します。1問30〜60秒は家庭学習の参考目安で、公式の制限時間ではありません。

時制・疑問文を間違えたらdid・doesの後は動詞原形であることを確認します。助動詞を間違えたらmust not（禁止）とdon’t have to（不要）を区別。不定詞・動名詞ではwant to doとenjoy doingを比較します。比較・数量はthan、as … as、最上級、a littleを復習。前置詞はat、by、along、betweenなどの意味と名詞とのまとまりを確認します。日常会話はCould you、Would like、What timeなどを完成文ごと音読してください。

正答選択に必要なのは2番目・4番目の語句の組合せですが、全文を作らずに選ぶと文法上の誤りに気づけません。まず語順を全て確定させましょう。
