ホームステイのEメールを読む5つのポイント

host family＝滞在先の家族、house rules＝家庭内のルール、chores＝家事、take off shoes＝靴を脱ぐ、set the table＝食卓を用意する、wash the dishes＝食器を洗う、leave home＝家を出る、be ready by＝〜までに準備を終える、if it rains＝雨なら、left something＝何かを置き忘れた、を押さえます。

文の意味が分かっていても、家を出る時刻と電車が出る時刻、通常の予定と金曜日だけの例外を混同すると失点します。Eメールでは差出人と受取人を確認し、予定の変更を表すinstead・but・nowの後を丁寧に読みます。
