模試の解き方と時間の使い方

まず4択30問を解き、Writing2題を必ず自分で書いてから模範解答を見てください。今回の長文は『残席と参加条件』『変更前と変更後の日付』『過去の事実と現在の比較』を区別することがポイントです。65分の練習では英作文を書く時間も確保し、分からない問題に印を付けて次へ進みましょう。

説明文｜町の昔の地図と現在の道を比べる授業｜問26〜30

Last spring, Yuto’s class visited a small history museum in their town. The students wanted to find out how the streets around their school had changed over time. A museum worker showed them two maps: one made about fifty years ago and another made recently.

At first, some students thought that the old map was incorrect because one road was missing. The worker explained that the road had not been built fifty years earlier. The students then walked around the area with their teacher and checked which buildings and roads they could still see.

Yuto noticed that the old market had become a public library, but the river was still in the same place. The class took photographs and made a chart to compare the maps. Some buildings had different names, so the students asked local residents for more information. Their teacher reminded them not to guess when the answer was unclear.

After four weeks, the class presented a small exhibition with their maps and photos. They learned that old maps could show how a town changed. Next term, they hope to interview older residents and add their stories to the exhibition.

和訳：賛成です。地域の歴史を学ぶと町がどう変化したか理解できます。またほかの人に伝えられる興味深い話が増えるため、学ぶのが好きです。理解と共有という2理由です。

模範解答は一例であり、適切な別解もあります。

復習のポイント｜正答した理由を文章で説明する

第1の掲示は、午前が満席で午後には残席があること、写真と鉛筆は資料館が用意しノートは参加者が持参することが重要です。第2のメールは、会場は図書館のままで、火曜から木曜へ日程だけが変更されました。午後4時は集合で午後4時30分が発表開始です。

第3の説明文は、50年前の地図に道路がない理由は当時未建設だったためです。また、建物の名称が変わったときには地域住民に確認しています。本文にない情報を推測で断定しない習慣を身に付けましょう。
