- 数量:some(いくつか)/many(多く)/most(大半)/all(すべて)は交換できません。
- 可能性:may / might / can / couldを、根拠なくmust / will / alwaysに強めないこと。
- 条件:if / unless / only when / before / afterを削ると、成立条件や時系列が逆転する場合があります。
問題(独自英文): Some cities have begun lending small repair tools to local residents through public centers. People can borrow items such as screwdrivers and electric drills for a few days instead of purchasing tools they may use only once. City officials believe the service could help families save money and reduce unnecessary waste. However, they also need to make sure the tools are returned on time and in good condition. Some residents who have never used certain tools may need safety instructions before borrowing them.
模範要約(45語): Some cities lend repair tools to residents, helping them avoid buying items they rarely use. Officials believe this could save money and reduce waste. However, they must ensure that tools are returned on time and in good condition, and some beginners may need safety instructions.
All cities lend free tools, so everyone saves money.
問題(独自英文): Several schools have started using apps to inform families about the locations of school buses. Parents can check a map before leaving home and may spend less time waiting outside. Students may also feel less worried when a bus is delayed. However, the location shown on an app is only an estimate. Heavy traffic or sudden road problems can change arrival times. In addition, not every family owns a smartphone, so schools sometimes provide the same information by phone or through other channels.
模範要約(46語): Some schools use apps to show the locations of school buses, potentially reducing parents’ waiting time and students’ worries. However, these locations are estimates, and traffic or road problems can change arrival times. Schools sometimes use other channels to inform families that do not have smartphones.
The app tells parents exactly when every bus will arrive.
問題(独自英文): Some community centers work with nearby grocery stores to collect food that is still safe to eat but may not be sold the next day. Volunteers organize the food and offer it to households that need support. This can help reduce food waste while making groceries more accessible. The program also creates opportunities for neighbors to cooperate. Still, it requires careful checks because food must be stored at safe temperatures. Sometimes the centers receive fewer suitable items than expected, and they cannot provide everything each family needs.
模範要約(45語): Some community centers collect safe surplus food from stores for families needing support, which can reduce waste, improve access to food, and encourage cooperation. However, food requires careful temperature checks, and centers sometimes receive too few suitable items to meet all of each family’s needs.
Centers distribute all unsold food to everyone.
問題(独自英文): A growing number of small businesses allow their employees to work from home for part of the week. Some workers say that avoiding a long trip to the office gives them more time for other activities. Others find it easier to concentrate on individual tasks in a quiet place. On the other hand, remote work is not equally suitable for every job. When employees need to discuss complicated problems, online messages can lead to misunderstandings. To address these issues, several companies schedule regular face-to-face meetings and set clearer rules for communication.
模範要約(46語): Some small businesses allow employees to work partly from home, saving commuting time and helping some workers concentrate. However, this does not suit every job, and messages can cause misunderstandings during complex discussions. Some companies therefore arrange regular meetings in person and establish clearer communication rules.
避けたい答案:Working from home always improves teamwork.
Some residents borrow tools.
All residents borrow tools.
Some residents borrow tools.
The service may reduce waste.
The service will eliminate waste.
The service may reduce waste.
Not all families own smartphones.
No families own smartphones.
Some families do not own smartphones.
Buses sometimes arrive late.
Buses always arrive late.
Buses sometimes arrive late.
Tools must be returned within three days.
Tools may be returned at any time.
Borrowers must return the tools within three days.
Food is checked before it is shared.
Food is shared before it is checked.
Food is checked before being shared.
The program can help families save money.
The program definitely makes all families rich.
The program can help families save money.
Remote work is useful for some jobs.
Remote work is suitable for every job.
Remote work is useful for some jobs.
Although the app is helpful, arrival times may change.
Because the app is helpful, arrival times may change.
The app is helpful, but arrival times may change.
The center needs volunteers because it serves more families.
The center serves more families although it needs volunteers.
The center serves more families, so it needs volunteers.
Only registered residents may borrow equipment.
Every visitor can borrow equipment.
Only registered residents may borrow equipment.
If it rains, the event will move indoors.
The event will always be indoors.
The event will move indoors if it rains.
Fewer participants came than expected.
More participants came than expected.
Attendance was lower than expected.
The center may close earlier on holidays.
The center closes early every day.
The center may close earlier on holidays.
