英検2級の長文内容一致で、英単語を読めているのに選択肢が2つ残ってしまう人へ。誤答には、本文と明らかに矛盾するものだけでなく、常識としてはありそうでも本文には一切書かれていない内容があります。たとえば「来年の増設を検討する」と書かれているだけなら、「来年必ず増設される」とは答えられません。慶英会では、本文と一致・矛盾・記載なしを分類する独自12問と、4本の英文説明文による内容一致16問、合計28問を全解説付きで公開しました。残る3択の誤り方まで説明できるように練習します。

結論｜「本文に書いていない」ことは、事実らしくても正解の根拠にならない

長文4択の選択肢には、知識としてあり得る内容や、本文の単語を使いながら事実を追加した表現があります。正しい選択肢は本文の明確な記述を根拠に選びます。矛盾する選択肢と、根拠が存在しない選択肢を分けて考えると、消去法がより正確になります。

英検2級の公式形式と本教材の位置付け

英検協会の2級試験内容には長文内容一致8問（Eメール・説明文）があり、4肢選択です。本ページは「一致・矛盾・記載なし」を見抜く訓練として独自分類12問と独自長文16問を設けています。実際の英検で「一致・矛盾・記載なし」の3択がそのまま出題されるわけではありません。公式問題の難易度・形式は2級の公式過去問で確認してください。

3分類の違いを具体例で確認

独自12問｜一致・矛盾・記載なしを判定する

12問は3分類それぞれ4問ずつです。分類を決めたら、なぜそれ以外の分類ではないのかも説明してください。

本文の情報：The library opens at ten on Saturdays and is closed every Sunday.

判定したい主張：The library welcomes visitors on Sunday mornings.

文章を読んで選択肢を選び、残りの3択について「本文と矛盾」「記載なし」「条件・主体の取り違え」などの理由を説明してから解答を開いてください。

実戦1｜放課後の読書室

A public library has opened a small reading room for students who need a quiet place after school. The room is available on weekdays from three to seven in the evening. Students can use desks and reference books without paying, but they must register at the library counter before their first visit. Staff members have also asked visitors to keep food outside the room. The library originally considered offering the same service on weekends. However, it does not currently have enough staff to supervise the room on Saturdays or Sundays. Organizers are recording how many students visit on weekdays and which reference materials they use. 7日間で誤答の理由まで説明する

1日目は情報分類12問を解き、2〜5日目に実戦長文を1題ずつ解きます。6日目は誤答した選択肢を本文と一致する英文へ書き直し、7日目は別年度の公式過去問で同じ判断ができるか確かめます。独自問題の正解番号を覚えても初見の読解力を測れないため、異なる英文での検証を重視しましょう。

よくある質問

常識的に正しい内容なら選んでよいですか？

長文内容一致は本文を根拠に答えます。常識としてあり得ても本文に書かれていなければ、根拠のある選択肢を優先してください。

本文と矛盾するものと本文にないものは同じですか？

異なります。矛盾は本文の事実に反する内容で、記載なしは判断できる情報が不足している状態です。

英検の本番は3択の分類問題ですか？

いいえ。公式の長文内容一致は4肢選択です。本記事の3分類は読む力を鍛える独自の診断方法です。

全問正解できれば英検2級合格ですか？

独自28問は合否判定の正式な模試ではなく、CSEスコアを算出することもできません。公式過去問で技能別に確認してください。
