as soon as・as long as・as far asの違い｜時間・条件・範囲の無料40問

英語のas soon as・as long as・as far as・provided thatは、いずれもasや条件を含むため混同しやすい表現です。結論として、as soon asは「〜するとすぐ」、as long asは「〜する間ずっと」または「〜という条件で」、as far asは「〜の範囲まで」、provided thatは明示した条件を表します。

You can stay as long as you like. You may use the room as long as you follow the rules.

as soon as・as long as・as far asの使い分け

as long as（期間）	〜の間ずっと	滞在・継続時間

as soon asとas long as：時間と条件は違う

I will email you as soon as the class ends. I will support you as long as you need help. You may use the room as long as you follow the rules.

as far as I knowは「私が知っている限り」

As far as I know, the programme is free. We walked as far as the river.（川のところまで歩いた）などと使います。

I will contact you as soon as I arrive.やYou may join provided that you meet the requirements.

as long asは条件と期間のどちらですか？

as soon asの後ろにwillは置けますか？

I will call you as soon as I arrive.

as far as I knowは断定ですか？

as long asとprovided thatは同じですか？

as long asの期間用法は別です。
