英検4級リスニング：聞く技能と公式の出題形式
英検協会の4級試験内容では、リスニング約30分。第1部は応答文選択10問・3肢、第2部は会話内容一致10問・4肢、第3部は文の内容一致10問・4肢です。いずれも2回放送されます。この記事は第2部の「会話の重要情報を聞き取る」技能を練習するため、8会話×5問＝40問の独自補充演習に拡張したものです。本試験で1会話に5問ずつ出るわけではありません。

スピーチ力を聞き取りの得点へつなぐ3段階
第一段階：学校で習った基本の疑問詞What・When・Where・Why・Whoの意味を声に出して確認します。第二段階：会話を2回聞き、not・but・instead・becauseなどの変更・理由表現をメモします。第三段階：答え合わせでその情報が英文のどの部分にあったかを台本で探し、全文和訳を確認します。スピーチで使った表現を初めて聞く別の会話でも理解できるかが重要です。
家庭で混同しやすい情報
集合9時・開始10時・終了11時30分の違い、最初の予定と変更後の予定、相手が持参するものと主催者が準備するもの、二人の話者の役割、数字の大小などは分けて考えましょう。曖昧なまま選んだ正答も復習します。

1〜8日目：1日1会話5問を聞き、1回目の正答数と2回目の正答数を分けて記録します。9〜11日目：時刻や変更理由で誤答した4会話を再度聞き、根拠となる一文を音読。12〜13日目：質問への返答を自分の言葉でも1文作ります。14日目：英検協会の公式過去問で本物の第2部を解き、読み上げ音声と選択肢のスピードを確認してください。
この教材内で35問以上正答しても、理由が分からない問題は復習対象です。25〜34問なら人物・時刻・変更、24問以下なら基本の疑問詞や一般動詞・過去形を中心に復習します。これは慶英会独自の学習用目安で、英検の合格・CSEスコアとは対応しません。
小学校の英語と中学校入学準備をどう両立させるか
小学校のスピーチやロールプレイは話す自信を育てます。一方、英検4級では4択の選択肢を読みながら英語会話を理解する必要があります。読み取りや語順整序が弱い場合は、学校の英語学習を優先し、週末に短い初見会話を聞く形で補いましょう。進学先の中学校でどの教科書・教材を使うかは、入学後の案内や配布物で確認する必要があります。
