燕中等教育学校の中3が「If I were youを過去に案内人だった意味と解釈する」「I wish I canと書く」「If it rainsとIf it rainedの意味を混同する」という場合、現実の未来条件と現在の事実とは異なる仮定・願望を分けて学ぶことが必要です。燕中等教育学校のGCP開始・公式記録によれば、2026年4月から1年生にGCPが導入され、英語で多様な価値観を学んでいます。同校の2026年9月GCP発表会では外国の文化をTry・Eat・Seeの観点から紹介する活動も報告されています。ただし仮定法が実際のGCPの教材だったとは確認できません。慶英会は仮定法・現実条件の選択10問、誤文訂正10問、書き換え10問、独自長文読解10問、計40問と全解答を公開します。

結論｜If I wereとIf it rainsは現在の意味が違う

• 現実の未来条件：If it rains tomorrow, we will stay inside.
• 現在とは異なる仮定：If I were a guide, I would explain this.
• 仮定の能力：If I had a map, I could show the route.
• 現在の願望：I wish I had more time. / I wish I could speak better.
• 文章を読むときは、現実に可能か・現在は違うのかを先に判定する。

『仮定法過去』という名称は、常に過去の出来事を話す意味ではありません。If I were youは『もし私があなたなら』という現在の反事実の仮定を表す代表例です。

燕中等のGCPと通常の学校英文法を区別する

学校公式・GCP開始は2026年4月の1年生の英語による交流を示します。また1年生GCP発表会は文化理解・発表の活動です。しかし全学年の授業が英語で実施される、今回の文法が発表の正式テーマであるとは書かれていません。燕中等の学校英語対策で実際の進度を確認し、関係代名詞の独自36問なども必要に応じて利用できます。

仮定法と現実のifを見分ける4ステップ

1. 今の事実と異なる想像を述べているか確かめる。
2. 現実に起こる可能性ならif＋現在形、主節will等を用いる。
3. 反事実ならif＋過去形、主節would/could＋原形等を選ぶ。
4. I wishは現在の願望なら過去形やcouldの形を確認する。

If I wereが学校英文法の標準ですが、会話ではIf I wasを見聞きする場合もあります。まず学校の学習範囲と試験の基本構文を確実にしましょう。

第4部｜架空のGCP風プロジェクトの読解（問31〜40）

In a fictional school project, students planned a presentation for visitors from other countries. One student said, ‘If we knew the exact year of this photograph, we could explain the change in the town more clearly.’ The year was not confirmed, so the group did not invent one. Another student said, ‘I wish our map were easier to read.’ The group made the letters larger because this was a real improvement they could make. Their teacher explained that imagining better conditions can lead to useful ideas, but statements about the past still need evidence. The meeting was planned for Saturday, and the group wrote, ‘If it rains, we will welcome visitors indoors.’ This was a realistic condition for a possible event. After rehearsing the talk in English, the students checked which statements were verified and which were only suggestions.

• I wish I canを現在の願望へ使う。
